Staying offsite and just booked advance FP+ for next week!

Sounds like targeted test to me. Bummer - was hoping to have this rolled out to all offsite folks by the time we go!

Thanks for the info!

Yeah. You'd think Disney would want this situation to be remedied by Spring Break. It's going to be hellish when we're down there.

It's sounds like the exact same email I got and the dates are the same too. It referenced my ADR too. Maybe you don't even need tickets linked or any of it. What date is your ADR? Mine is March 12.

Mine is for March 15th. That is the only park ADR I made.

Today has been completely and utter frustrating!

It's my day to make our FP+ reservations.

We're staying one night on-site at AOA and then checking into an off-site pool house for a week (so we have 7-day tickets for our family of 6).

I was told, by Disney, that if we stay on-site for one night, we will have access to FP+ for the entire 7 days that we have tickets for.

Terrific!

Today, however, only Friday & Saturday would allow me to make FP+ reservations (Friday night would be our on-site night at AOA, don't you know).

So I called to find out why I can't make FP+ reservations for the entire stay and, apparently, our ability to do that has somehow been "turned off" and it's going to take several DAYS to turn back on. ?!?!?!

Meanwhile...other people are making FP+ reservations during our week!

Then I tried to use the link for the BOG FP+ lunch, which is supposed to be separate from the 3 FP+ reservations you're allowed each day -- and it wouldn't let me enter our confirmation number. It only let me put in the "3" and then there was no more room.

So I called Disney again and was told that the BOG FP+ lunch was on a trial basis and I have to be invited to participate. ?!?!?!

ARRGGGHHHH....if this wasn't my youngest daughter's absolute happiest place on earth, I'd cancel the entire trip.

Sorry to hear you're having such a frustrating day. I would check tomorrow though b/c it might let you pick Sun since that is 60 days out from tomorrow. I believe I read a post where someone had a split stay and they had to go in each morning and the next day came available. Not sure what to tell you about BOG other than keep trying. To say MDE is buggy is an understatement.

BOG first -- we only made our FP reservation about 30 days out, and got the time we wanted so I wouldn't sweat it. In fact, there were a lot of empty tables there when we were eating. It wasn't a particularly busy day but not low crowd either (Thursday before Pres Day). I'd say give it some time and you might get it. You're technically supposed to wait for the email after you check in (that's the invite), which would also be soon enough if you're not going the next day.

And like the PP said, it's a rolling 60 days -- you might be able to book another day tomorrow. But at the same time, people have been reporting a lot of issues with MDE the past few days. If you're 60 days out, I get that you really want to make your FP selections but you don't really have to do it now. It's not like offsite guests can do it yet. There's plenty of time -- they won't run out any time soon.

I'm curious, for those of you who have been able to pre book fp+ this close to your travel dates what time frames are available, and are all rides showing up?

Everything was there. The night before I checked to see if I could change my TSMM from 9:55 to later in the morning and by then they only had afternoon and evening slots. Also last night I decided I wanted to add illuminations for tonight and it said stand by only. I checked again in 10 minutes and it let me select it.

we are staying offsite in 25 days, we got our tickets from UT, can we use our magic bands from previous trip? I added our UT tixs to mde, and we have someone new going with us.

Alas -- no. Still doesn't allow me to pick another day's worth of FP+ this morning .. and I waited until after 7am to check.

So it seems that spending one night on-site doesn't allow you to access FP+ for the remainder of your off-site stay!

Will be cancelling our one night on-site if this continues to be the case tomorrow ... that one night is costing $325 + tax. I was willing to do it for the ability to access FP+ for all 7 days (including a week off-site) but that doesn't appear to be the case. :headache:

yes don't give up, keep trying. You have to make each day separately ,60 days from each one. (if they are telling you the truth about that function being turned off, that stinks) but I would keep trying b/c I don't believe anything they say lol...keep us posted ;)

Good luck with BOG.

I was just thinking , you said yesterday was your first day to book. so that would have gotten you check in and check out day.. so Tomorrow you "should" be able to book your first offsite day?? Fingers crossed for you ..

I was able to book 7 days, (with seven day ticket) with one night campground (I needed room for 5). I did have a dining reservation toward the end of our stay. I did have to wait until midnight or 11:00 pm central time each day to be within the 60 day window.

Your trip is still really far out and you won't have any trouble getting fp+ as you get closer to trip date. We had no problem getting fp+ nine days out. Besides, who knows what Disney will have in place in another month or so. The system might be all set up for off site guests by then.

And the BOG fp for lunch won't open up for your dates for awhile yet. You should be able to get them in a month or so.

I will keep trying!

And I have ADRs nearly every day for lunch already (5 of our 7-day visit).

And yes. It let me book FP for Friday & Saturday of our trip but can't do Sunday, for instance, and depending on how they count their days, 60 days out from that Sunday could be this Thursday.

So keep fingers crossed! ( And agreed about the BOG lunch -- it appears too early for that. I'm now reading 30-days out for that at least )

I thought I read in the throwaway room threads that that's all Disney was giving (night plus following day). Maybe check those threads for advice.

In regards to the "throwaway room", Disney only allows pre-booking of FP+ for the check-in and check-out dates at 60 days prior to your check-in date. If you had longer onsite stays, you would be able to make FP+ reservations for your entire stay (up to and including the check-out date) starting 60 days prior to check-in. However, they still allow FP+ pre-booking exactly 60 days prior to the date for the rest of your visit.

For example, I am going to the Beach Club on May 31 followed by the Dolphin June 1-6th. 60 days prior to check-in, on April 1st, I expect to be able to complete FP+ reservations for May 31st and June 1st (check-in/out dates). I will not be able to make FP+ reservations for June 2nd until April 3rd, or exactly 60 days prior to June 2nd. I will be able to make June 3rd on April 4th, June 4th on April 5th, etc.

The problem on the throwaway room thread is people could make the first 2 days then freaked out because they couldn't make any further reservations. They just had to wait a few days. So the throwaway room is still a viable option until pre-booking of FP+ is available to all offsite guests.

Thank you!!!

So it's a similar process to ADRs.

Off-site guests can't book 180 + 10. We have to call or go online each day and make our reservations.

I have NO problem with that at all!

I didn't want to be at rope drop every morning at Disney, waiting in line for a FP kiosk!

Exactly. Some people are even calling it 60+10 for onsite FP+ reservations;)

Okay.

Still waiting to see if offsite guests can advance book FP+ without special invites or this other partial onsite stays.

Hi, just wondered if this OP and any other 'offsiters' have been able to book FP+??

Still no luck for me. We arrive on 3/27 and are staying offsite. Tickets are linked and ADR's made. No throwaway room or bands from previous stays. I am checking every day and still hoping. Given the info provided on this thread, I think it was a one week test.
