We are coming in January and will be staying at the comfort suites at 2775 Florida Plaza bvld. The hotel has scheduled shuttle but we don;t have to rely on that. Renting a car is ok but we don't like driving down there at all so we were hoping to be able to use the lynx buses. Does anyone know the routes to take back and forth? From what I can gather on their website we can catch the bus at Old Town #56 then take that to the ticket and transportation center. From there what do we do? Getting back would be just the reverse right?
Thanks
Alicia

We were just at WDW last week... we drove down from PA for the adventure... wasn't bad really. Anyways, we arrived in Orlando on a Saturday afternoon around 4PM and traffic was OUT OF THIS WORLD... took us almost an hour to get to our Exit.

I would HIGHLY recommend you compare the costs of a Value Resort onsite as to the Hotel your staying at, and compare the advantages of Disney Transport onsite. I think you would be ahead, but again I don't know how much you are paying for your off site Hotel...

It will be very time consuming getting from outside to the Parks, and if you want to go back during the day for a nap, or dip in the pool..... add more time, and bus fare...

Just a thought.

Don,t stay offsite without a car. Stayed at Doubletree Club next to the downtown Hotels without a car. Know now why I stay onsite for the transpertation. Will not stay offsite again without a car. :Pinkbounc

In October we stayed off site. THis is fine or me as I am not a big fan of Disney Transportation anyway. Besides we have 3 kids and a room for 5 is very costly. We stayed at Comfort Suites. The Shuttle schedule was VERY VERY limited. Call for a schedule! I was shocked at how little they ran AND the fact that they stop at about 5 different hotels. You NEED a car offsite.

Good Luck!

I would also like to add that you really should consider a car rental. January is part of the slow season so traffic will not be as bad and the flexibility a rental car offers is wonderful.

I always rent, it's cheap and I find getting around to be pretty easy. Everything is well marked and I never like to be tied to someone else's schedule.

No, I don't receive a kick back from the rental companies. I just think it is totally worthwhile and offers you so many options that you otherwise do not have. Give it some serious thought.
