Staying in overlapping rate seasons

Hi guys!
I was planning on staying at pop century from dec30-january 5 or dec 31- jan 6 now the site says that jan 1 starts the value season however the 30th and 31st are obviously holiday rates. Now my question is will i be charged the holiday rate for the entire trip or will it just be for the 30th and 31st and then value rate for the rest?

You are charged for the entire trip the rate that was in effect when you checked in. You may want to make separate reservations for the two seasons.

Your rate will be holiday....since you are checking in during holiday season, that is the rate you will have for the entire trip. You could book 2 days during holiday season and then start another package on Jan 1...giving you the value rate for that portion of your trip!

If it saves enough money it is certainly worth it to make 2 reservations. It will require 2 deposits, you will need to check out and check back in when the first reservation ends and will get new room keys. If you do this, just tell them when you check in the first time that you have a second reservation. They will link them so that you most likely would not have to change rooms, unless of course if you want to change rooms. The checking out and checking back in process only takes a few minutes. We did this a few years ago at the AKL and saved about 75 a night by doing this.

I did that last year. 3 season too! Had to keep going down to check in again LOL but worth the saving. Yes call and seperate those stays.

Would that work in reverse? We are thinking of going down in Dec 2007 and will probably arrive on Dec 19th. I believe Holiday season begins on the 20th which is a lot more expensive.

It does work in reverse. If you arrive in a cheaper rate season and stay over into a more expensive one, you get to pay the cheaper rate the entire time. So in that case it works to your advantage.

We are checking in at POP on Dec 19,2006 for the value rate and we have recieved the value rate for our entire stay. We check out on the 26th. It is a really great deal.
