I want to stay at universal for two days before we go off to Disney! But I want to stay at a hotel that offers free transportation to Disney and universal! I don't want to have to figure out how to get from universal to disney! I haven't been there in 4 yrs! (Universal that is) I seen that Days Inn Maingate Universal offers freee transportation to Disney and universal and sea world!Anyone know anything about this hotel Good or Bad? Or does anyone have any suggestions on where to stay?

Hi. I haven't stayed at that hotel, but if you go to tripadvisor.com, you're sure to find reviews. I always check there before I book any hotels. Good luck.

:thumbsup2 I would recommend the Comfort inn Lake buena vista. it is 1 mile from downtown disney. and it has a shuttle for disney and Universal. I am staying there in 5 days. and i have stayed there in the past. it is clean but if you look on tripadvisor u will get mixed reviews. If you are like me and all you wants a clean room, microwave ,fridge, safe, (for free). and a nice pool that is heated seasonally. this is the place for you. It also has a free breakfast(cereal, toast, juice, fruit) basic but good. The property has a gated entrance and your name has to be on the list to get onto the property. I would also recommend looking on orlanodinfo.com and getting the magic card and Comfort inn LBV accepts that card and it gives a really good discount.
I hope that this has helped.:thumbsup2

I've not stayed there, but I have seen that hotel and that is a really good area as far as easy access to Disney and to Universal. You can be at either in no time in a car!

It's funny that you mention this! Because we have stayed here 2x's in the past but back then they didnt have free shuttles to Universal now they do! We stayed in1997 and 2000 and it also wasn't gated then. This is the one off of Palm Parkway correct? Yes ! I am like you the hotel room as long as clean doesn't make a difference to me! And when we stayed here in the past it was not bad at all! for the price I'm going to have to check out that orlando info! Becaus ei was quoted a rate of $59.95 per room but if I could get some money off that it would be awesome! What were the rates you have gotten? I've gotten $35 before through AAA it's been awhile though but it actually seems like there rates are the same! or close!

the price that u have is pretty close to the price that i have with my magic card. I will be leaving on Sunday and i got 6 nites for 55.00 a nite. But of course that is one of the peak season dates. if you are going in off peak season the rates are 10.00 less. And i think it is on the parkway i really don't know the name of the road that it is on. I just know how to get there. LOL. Also when i say gated i mean that there is a guard house before u go in and u have to have your name on the list before u can go in. Hope this has helped.

Yeah I don't remember that! but like I said it's been awhile! Thanks for the info! Let me know how your trip goes and what the rooms were like the one I am atlking about is right by the RIU ORLANDO and RADISSON! and a SHERTON use to be on the corner but that was gone last we were there! and there also use to be a HOWARD JOHNSON'S across the parkway! It's like 84 something Palm parkway it crosses Apopka-Vineland RD there are lots of Factory stores and goodings isn't to far! And DTD is apprx a 3min ride by car 5 min tops! Universal and seaworld would be like apprx 15 minute ride from here.
