I am on a couple of upcoming vacation lists, but I am not seeing that a whole lot of people are staying at the All Star Sports. What is going on? Is Sports the ugly step-child of Disney World? Anyone else besides us planning a stay at the All Star Sports soon?

Our stay is October 29-November 3. Which Disers should I be on the look-out for? Anyone?:confused3

We're staying at ASSp! Not during your dates, though. We can't wait - only 22 more sleeps (my sons tell me how many sleeps every morning LOL). :cool1: :yay: :woohoo:

Edited to add that we were originally booked at ASMo, but our fabulous TA got us an incredible $500+ discount PER ROOM if we moved to ASSp - so of course we're happy to move!

We're staying at Sports! It will be our 2nd time staying here. We really enjoyed our last stay...so we're coming back. We weren't planning on visiting at all this year, but just planned a birthday trip a month ago - just 20 days left!! I can't wait!!

We'll be there Oct 15 until Oct 20....have a great time!!

WE STAYING THERE OCT 17-27. THIS IS OUR FIRST TIME, BUT HEARD IT WAS NICE. ALSO, HEARD IT WAS RECENTLY RENOVATED!:cloud9:

I mean not to be a buzzkill, but when I stoped by there it def. was'nt up to par with the rest of the resorts......it seemed dirty, there were kids all over the place, I would'nt stay there

We will be there after you, (Thanksgiving week). We have been before and enjoy it very much. We never found it to be dirty by any means and have had wonderful service and experiences. I am not a sports nut, nor are my 3 daughters, but it has the best bus service of the 3 All Stars (being the first to be picked up and dropped off) and is a fun, very Disney feeling resort. We love it and can't wait to go back!

We are going to stay at ASSports our first night in the World. I am splurging and staying at the Poly for the rest of the week, this is our one and only big WDW vacation that we will be doing with our kids. When I decided to go ahead and drive all the way in and stay at a value for the first night, I left it up to the kids. We sat on the computer and researched all three of them and Sports was unanimous. Have a great time!!!!

We stayed there in August, the resort itself could use some updates, especially the football field. But our room had been completely refurbed and was small but great, the beds were really comfy.

We were in the baseball section and parking was really convenient, the only time we had any wait for the buses were the times when the bus we wanted was pulling away when we walked up.

We never ate at the resort so I don't have any comments on the food court.

We are staying at the sports too! Can't wait! I have been to disney a few times and this time me and my bf are going on our first trip together....he has only been to disney once and he was only 6, so he hasn't been in 20 years and doesn't reallly remember and has no idea what to expect. I am a disney freak so I am super excited to introduce him to disney again!
He picked the all-star sports cause he is a huge sports fan...he looked at all the resorts and thought it looked the best (great cause its a value and cheap). I was ok with it cause last time I was in disney, I stayed at pop and its a value as well. I thought the rooms were nice and to be honest, I love the other resorts but I can't see paying all that money when we will never be in our room!

Just there in May over Mother's Day weekend. We had a great time and the resort was up to Disney quality and standards in my opinion. :thumbsup2 We will be returning to ASSp this weekend 10/25-10/28

We will be there Thanksgiving week. I read in the AsSp thread and it had updated photographs from recent trips. So we aren't worried at all.

We also have 4 boys, so the sports theming is right up our alley.

We just got back this morning from 9 days at ASSp - we had a wonderful time! The resort is clean, safe and the CMs were very welcoming and friendly. I would return to ASSp without any hesitation :goodvibes

We're going to be there in December.
the food is actually quite good in the food court, try the Tye-dye Cheesecake!
