We are going to be staying at the Dolphin for the first time. We will be arriving on July 26th for 7 nights. The convention I am attending at the Dolphin does not start until Thursday night and runs through Sat afternnon. We are only paying $139.00 per night? What do you think? I thought it was a pretty good deal, but it is not a Disney Property!

I look forward to your input.

We are so excited to be taking our Grandaughter who is 8 yrs old and this is her FIRST time to Disney.

:D to say. I know I am a spoiled brat...

I can tell you that we loved it when we went and our grandkids loved it too........they thought that the pool was fantastic and loved tubbies.....I am sure that your granddaughter will be very very happy....dont forget there is a whole report by glo at the top of this board and she has alot of useful info for you.......dont' forget to buy your refillable cup at tubbies......you can use it for coffee....soda......tea....all your fountain beverages.......hope you have a great time and when you come back.....please come back to the trip report board and tell us all about it.......
I did forget to tell you that the only difference being between this and not a disney hotel is that you can not charge on your room key at the parks......only difference is that...you have disney transportation...you have early entry ....or late night at MK if they have one.....same perks as a disney hotel

Thank you so much. Also I did not know they had the refillable cups. Somewhere I had read that they didn't and we loved that feature at the other Disney Hotels. Thanks so much

You'll love the Dolphin! We're just back yesterday and we thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful hotel. There assortment of pools and hot tubs was most impressive. There is a BIG playscape on the beach that our kids loved. Also, if you are into working out, they have a nice healthclub. Shula's steak house was outstanding.
Have a great time.:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

:smooth: 61 more times to go to sleep and wake up !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another thumbs-up for the Dolphin! We stayed there when my boys were 9 and 11, and we loved it. In fact, the next year we stayed at Wilderness Lodge, and we all loved it there too, but my kids say they liked the Dolphin better! They say the pool at the Dolphin was much better.

We loved the Dolphin so much, we decided to stay there again for our 2nd trip in 10 days:)

The Dolphin may not be a "disney owned" resort but it is as much a Disney resort as any "disney owned" resorts are:p Same goes for the Swan.

The only difference you may find is when you go to the pool it may not be as crowded as if you go to the pools at the Disney owned hotels. I find this quite nice and relaxing.

The Dolphin is one of our favorite resorts...topping our list above many of the Disney owned resorts. The conveniences are endless too:p

ENJOY YOUR STAY!! Just don't work too hard:p

The Dolphin is the only place my family will stay at when we visit Disney!! My DH really wishes there could be a "Dolphin" hotel out in Vegas when we go there next month!!!:p :smooth: :bounce:
