Hi guys! we have finally decided to try and go in November and stay at the CBR. Please tell me all about it. The good and the bad. We have 2 dds that will be 7 and 3 when we go. Thanks for the info, April

I love the CBR because the theming is great and the landscaping is so pretty. I like that you have a main pool as well as a pool in each island that way if the main pool is crowded, you have more choices. We really enjoyed Old Port Royale for food, alot of selection and the frozen drinks at the Banana Cabana (main pool bar) are yummy. There is a decent arcarde, playground and boating and biking activities. Although you can't swim at the beaches, they make a really pretty setting and have hammocks to relax on by the water. The walkways are a nice place to stroll at night. I think the rooms are a good size and bright. They have always been clean and the staff has been friendly. I think you and your family will really like this resort. Enjoy your stay!

You will love CBR. I suggest you look at the threads below for more information on CBR. There is a thread for CBR FAQ's and many people have posted there.

You will love it-its awesome. Make sure you try out the hammocks, they were DH and mine favorite thing to do at the end of a long day. Have a great trip!

I have some pics of my stay at CBR. It is a great resort. Very relaxful.

Great pictures Cassie :) thank you for posting them. This will also be our first stay at CBR this july.

Do you know which section or buildings is in picture #5 ???

Are all the buildings and grounds that nice?

All of CBR is beatiful. Everywhere you go you have a view of the lake. I also have pictures if you click on the links below.

We just got back from the CBR and loved it! We loved our rooms. They were bright, clean and were very good sized. Our maid service was very good every day as well. The resort itself made us feel so relaxed. We loved having the lake with sand beaches along all the walk ways. I we fell in love with the laid back feeling of the place.

Our downside to the resort - the Custom House. In fact, I am still deciding about how to write a letter to Disney complaining about our service. We waited 1 1/2 hours in line to check in. When we did check in, our reservation was not correct. We had been bumped on our flight out. I immediately called CRO to change our dates by one day and add a day at the end. I had all the details of my call. When we checked in, they still had the old dates. The CM told me she had no records that I had called. I took out my cell phone and my notes and showed her on my phone the number and time I called and went over the details with her. She told me that they couldn't do that. We went around and around on this, finally she called some number and told me with attitude that she would do it but my credit towards my last night would only be half of what I was told. I finally just said to do it because now I had been trying to check in with her for almost one more hour. After the start I had with the airlines, I was tired and just wanted to begin my vacation. By the time I got to my room, there was a phone call from CRO saying there was a mistake and they had records of my call. I would be getting the whole credit that I had thought. The part that really bothered me was that even though I had records of who I talked to, the time I called (recorded on my cell phone), all the details from my call, etc - they kept telling me there were no records and talked to me like I was lying. To be honest, I would not have even cared about the credit for the night I missed but the CRO offered it the night before and I did have all of the details. The Custom House CM spoke rudely to me right up to the end and seemed annoyed with me the whole time. We had 2 other dealings at the Custom House that went equally as poorly. If I could figure out how to stay at CBR without stepping foot in the Custom House that would be the resort my family would be choosing for our trip next April. However, we are really thinking it through at this point.

I had almost the same type of problem once. The CM insisted that the room rate was one price and I had paperwork from Travelocity showing something else. She said she couldn't charge me what my paperwork showed.

I insisted they call a manager. They called CRO. In the meantime I paid the money. I was in the room about 10 mins when they called and said that yes I was right.

I don't book Disney through Travelocity anymore. It just caused me grief but they did take care of it.

I agree it is not the way to start a vacation. Usually the CM's are great and very helpful. They usually get us pumped up even more to start our vacation at CBR.

S. C., that is a picture of Trinidad North, where I stayed. All the grounds are just as nice. Some of the bushes are loaded with flowers, and compliment the buildings. It's such a tropical paradise...I love it there.

Thank you cassie.
It looks so relaxing and peaceful, makes me want to take an evening stroll around the grounds. :)
