Since DH and I just made the decision to go to WDW for his mid-tour leave in April, POFQ was already booked up. We had read such good reviews of SOG that we figured we'd stay there since it's right near MK and Poly, and the rates are incredible.

Since this will be my first time staying at a non-Disney resort, are there any differences making ADR's? I am assuming we can't make 180+ our length of stay ADR's...??? :confused3

This may have a simple answer, but I just want to make sure we can get good ADR's since I want this to be an extra special trip for DH.

Same as anyone else. Right now you cant make past Jan 25 but once the new dining system is in place you can make them 180 days in advance

Right- You can make ADRs just the same as anyone else. You just won't get the 180 (or 90) +10 that WDW resort guests get. You'll need to call 180 or 90 days out from each of your days at SOG.

We're staying at SOG this Nov. We also stayed there for our honeymoon 10 years ago. We were very happy with it.

When I made our ADRs in May, I made all of them at one time 180 days out from our arrival date.

We are staying at SOG at the end of Oct... I had to call each day at the 180 day mark... I couldn't do them all at one time as the pp said. I've heard that it just depends on who answers the phone when you call - because I tried to make them for 180+ each time I called - and each time it was no go. That's OK though, I still got everything I wanted.

Good luck.

Anything over 180 the dining agents have to put the reservation number to make sure youre at a disney property. They get in trouble if they dont.

I just wanted to tell you that you will love Shades of Green! The rooms are large, it is very quiet, and you can walk to the Poly to grab the monorail. Sometimes they have a golf cart waiting to drive you down to the Poly property. They call it the "shady shuttle."

Have a great trip!
