staying at resort one day early on 4day land

we are doing 4 day land / 3 sea , we would like to fly in on sat an get to resort one night early .can we still use transport from disney and what about luggage tags and keeping the same room?

We did a land/sea combo two years ago, and added nights on to the land portion for a total of 5 nights and had the same room for the length of our stay. We used Disney transportation to the resorts, port and back to the airport without any problems.

We are doing a 3 day/4 sea, and I added an extra night so we could fly in early...BUT, I had to book the extra night separately, because I did not wish to pay for park tickets for the arrival night.

This meant I had to book our airfare separately, as well. It actually became a better deal. Even with paying for an extra night, I saved over $200 by booking our airfare, and I control when the flights are.

We are booked on ME for the arrival, and still kept our transportation vouchers to get to Port Canaveral and for our return. The CM I did the one night booking with said he would make a note in our reservation that we had a land/sea starting the next day, and that we would like to stay in the same room.

I intend to call and verify that we have this request closer to time. I'm gathering we aren't the first people with a request like this, so I think it shouldn't be a problem.

did they tell you how you handle the package check in at resort the next day? and docs?do you have to wait till someone is at the cruise desk at the resort?

It's my understanding that we just check out/in again the next morning when we are ready to start using the package. We will probably sleep in and not plan to hit the parks until evening, so I don't think it will be a problem. We plan to spend our first day at SAB!
