Staying at POR: Where to get a b-day cake??

We are staying at POR on our upcoming trip and will be celebrating DD's 9th b-day while we are there.

I was going to get a cake for her at LTT on our MNSSHP night but thought it wouldn't be that great hauling around a cake all night!!

Does anyone have a suggestion for where I can get a really yummy cake that's a cab ride away from POR?? I'm not very familiar with all the resorts that have bakeries and that provide cakes.

I have a couple of suggestions.

There are bakeries at the YC/BC or the Grand Floridian that can do a birthday cake for you. Just call the guest services at either of these hotels and they should be able to help you.

The other option is Publix. There cakes are wonderful and there are two close to property. My favorite is the yellow cake with Butter Cream Frosting and strawberries in the middle.

There is an entire thread devoted to cakes at disneyworld! has pictures and everything. I'd do a search on it. Someone did a lot of work to put all the pictures together in one place.
