We are staying at POFQ for 5 nights in early Dec. with AP discount. We have never been there before. Any advice about what room location to request. I would like to be as close to the bus stop as possiable as we spend most of our time in the parks.
Blessings!

The closest building to the bus stop is building 4. I am uncertain, as I have gotten conflicting information as to whether it is a smoking building or not. It is right next to the main check in building, and not far from the pool, although there is no water view from this building.

The resort in comparison with all of the other moderates is extremely compact, and the main building and bus stop (of which there is only one), can be reached within a 5 minute walk. Really, no matter where you are, you won't have to walk far to get anywhere you want to go!

Building 4 is a very good choice, it is also non-smoking, at least it used to be.

I hear all the buildings are great - building 5 has a wonderful view over the main pool. We too are going to FQ late November and can't wait!!!

From wdwig.com:

Buildings 2, 4 and the top 2 floors of 6 are designated Smoking rooms.

We stayed in bldg. 4 in Dec. 2000 ( I think) and the top floor was non-smoking then, at least. You might want to call the hotel directly and ask that question.

The next closest buildings, I think, would be bldg. #5 (end closest to bldg. 4) and bldg. 6 (the end closest to bldg. 4 & 5. Take a look at the map, on this site and you will see what I mean.

Really, though, the walk to the bus stop is fairly short from all the bldgs. We love the resort and will be there the first week of Dec. on an AP discount, too. Can't wait.

We have stayed at PORS I know there are three building types French Quater, Alligator Bayou (Stayed there last time about building # 28), and Magnolia Bend. What are the differences? We like to stay on the ground floor rooms so we don't have to hike up and downstairs all the time. If we do decide to stay at PO at any of the three different building types. We like ones close to the main food court and close to a bus stop. Do you have any sugestion on building numbers, we like #15 on PORS.

Thanks for all of your help

Robert

We have stayed in Building 4 and loved it. If you stay on the parking lot side, there is a shortcut through the parking lot to get to the Bus Stop.

The last two times we stayed there, building 4 was non-smoking, but since the rehab they must have made it a smoking building.

If at Alligator Bayou, request building 14, if at Magnolia Bend, request Magnolia Terrace, and if at PO-FQ, request building 4... these are the closest to both the food courts, and the bus stops! Do remember, however, that a request is just that... a request, and you may not get exactly what you request.
