Staying at POFQ in August.

Has anyone stayed at the POFQ? This is our first time at this hotel. I'm really getting excited. Can anyone suggest a Building that has a good view. I have 2 small boys 6 & 8. We have a standard room and will need access to the pool and food court. Anyone with little ones will understand this one!

In 2007 we booked a standard and we were in Bldg. 5 in a corner room on the third floor. We had a lovely view of a nice courtyard. We had a nice location in the Bldg. that was very quiet and peaceful. I am requesting the same Bldg. for our 2009 trip. I will also request third floor and a nice view.

we were in bldg. 5 rm. #5116 which was perfect!!1st floor ,corner room right next to the pool and river.Food court,lobby,and bus stop less than 2 minute walk.

Buildings 2 and 5 are closest to the pool. You can always request a fountain view in building 2. You'll be on the back side of building 2. This way you'll be close, but won't have people swimming late at night keeping you awake.

We are also going in AUG...and we were wondering if anyone had any info in regards to Bldg6?
We were told it was totally gutted due to the fact it was a smoking bldg prior to the no smoking ban. Also, were told there are some nice river views to be had if you are in the right location!

THANKS for this post....DD5 and I are taking a girls trip in October and are staying at POFQ and I've been wondering the same thing. I'm emailing this to myself so I can make my room request appropriately

There are river views at most of the buildings. That said, it's not worth the extra cost for one. Since you do not have a balcony, your window looks out on the walkway. The only time I've ever had the curtains open when I had a river view room was during Hurricane Wilma. (The parks were closed and the buses weren't running.)

DH and I stayed there for our 10th anniversary last August. We fell in love with POFQ. It is beautiful. We stayed in building three third floor with a lovely parking lot view. I am really not one to request room/building, heck, I'm just happy to be there!! We cannot wait to take our kids there. It is so beautiful and peaceful. Service was nice. We actually arrived at the resort at 10:30 am and was able to check into our room. We were so excited, we expected to have them hold our luggage while we went to the parks.

Enjoy your stay!! It was VERY hot last August. If you've not been then, be prepared.
