After multiple calls to DCL about this, I knew something was up because one of our staterooms showed that we did not need to pick a port arrival time and gave us automatically the 11am arrival and boarding group 3. The other stateroom continued to show that we had to pick a port arrival time. I've always gotten 11am arrival with boarding group 3 when taking transport from the Hyatt at the airport.

Called again today (yes, waited on the long hold one more time), and at first the guy insisted that it said "Transfer from the Airport" and that I was all set. I was insistent that something was wrong and that it had to have some marker that we were at the Hyatt. He put me on hold, and came back saying I was right and he fixed it.

If your Port Arrival Form does not say 11:00 and Boarding Group 3, and you are staying at the MCO Hyatt, better call and confirm.

This is our last cruise to be booked not through Dreams (we had a placeholder that never got transferred to them). Would love to have our agent, Merrie, taking care of this for us!

I found out the hard way and I did book with my TA - but it was still not right - I blame the Hyatt - not my TA / Hyatt kept giving me wrong info when I checked in and next morning - yup no record of me and would NOT add me - I had to go downstairs at airport after waiting over 1 1/2 in line at Hyatt to wait in line at Disney checkin - had I known I would have went straight to the Disney Checkin - live and learn - I didn’t understand why my boarding group was such an issue when I was doing my online checkin but that was another long problem - the whole process was nothing but frustrating stress ! I’m sure it was me - but I could not get anything to work properly nor could I get any help - then it would say accepted to turn around a few hours later and reject it - all of it had nothing to do with Safe Passage and Covid as I at least had that part correct ( thank God) for whatever reason DCL seems to Not retain any information about me or my family even though I’ve done 8 cruises with them 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ Someday when I have hours to kill and feel like bring extremely frustrated I’ll call their IT and try and fix this 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 NOT - as the last two times I’ve had to do it with my Disney and DVC they just made matters worse so I’ll just carry on
But THANK YOU for your post - it’s very informative and I’ll remember this for the next time I do this to make sure it’s how it should be - as we were the LAST two people on the ship 🤣🤣🤣 we were so busy just sitting with our backs to the entrance we didn’t notice everyone was gone - we were waiting for our group to be called - a Cast Member came up and told us to go ahead a get on - we turned around and the terminal was empty 🤣🤣

"Transfer from the Airport"
Transfer from the airport is different than Transfer from the Hyatt. It is 2 different pick-up points. I don't have the exact wording in front of me, but you need it to say "Hyatt" or "Hyatt Lobby" -- something like that.

DCL transfers from MCO do require a PAT, while DCL transfers from the Hyatt do not require a PAT. I believe you must either book the Hyatt through DCL or contact DCL to have your Hyatt reservation noted so you are added to "the list" which will allow you to board from the lobby (and not require a PAT).

Thank you for this! I booked the Hyatt independently due to my military rate and added the reservation on w/ my TA. Although I trust my TA, do you know a way to confirm its been added?

Better to blame Disney than the Hyatt. The Hyatt really has nothing to do with it. They just look for the Disney note next to your name and then give you some information if they see it. Disney is responsible for making sure that you're on the list and that the Hyatt knows about it.

There have been numerous reports here over the last few months about Disney messing up transportation from MCO and from the Hyatt, at least.

Sorry--don't mean to hijack the thread but can you (or anyone) explain what the differences are between Hyatt and airport pickup beside PAT.

I am staying at the Hyatt the night before our cruise in a couple weeks, and I wanted to keep my luggage with me (paranoid of losing it) and also be able to board the bus from the airport at our leisure rather than whenever the Hyatt bus picks up (we have a super late night arrival and may need to sleep in a bit) so I just booked transfers "from the airport."

Now I am wondering if I'm made a huge mistake and should switch to the Hyatt... Would appreciate any insight you can provide into what the Hyatt specific pickup entails.

After reading a previous post about this issue, I EMAILED DCL and got a reply and a 'fix' back in a couple hours, on a recent Sunday. Here is what it should look like. And it's on your reservation, towards the bottom. That said, I will mention it to Hyatt the night before to make sure they have me on their manifest:

I read a similar post and checked my reservation and it said AIRPORT. Since I had booked the Hyatt on my own I just emailed DCL and told them to change the Pick Up for my DCL transportation to the Hyatt. Got a reply back in a couple hours on a recent Sunday. Here is what it looks like now:

Seriously from the number of people at Hyatt waiting it was quicker to go downstairs and use DCL than wait through all that

This is exactly right. I told them when I initially booked that I wanted transfers from the Hyatt, and then again on at least 2 more calls, and still one stateroom was wrong. And then when I called again yesterday, the CM on the phone did not know that there was a difference. The existence of the port arrival time (which was not auto-set to 11am) was what tipped me off that something was still wrong.

Something I will check . . I kind of want to SEE my bag get on a bus rather than give it to a bellhop on the 6th floor . . . Were there fewer people downstairs? They used to have a very organized check in. What floor is it? The one where the hotel shuttles show up too?

I think there are 3 differences:
1 - the pick-up location, from the Hyatt Lobby vs at the old DME spot in MCO
2 - the PAT (no PAT if taking transfers from the Hyatt)
3 - I'm not sure if luggage gets picked up from your Hyatt room if not on the Hyatt list

I don't know if there is any significant difference in timing, though obviously the MCO location will have more buses leaving later in the morning or even early afternoon.

First DCL cruise coming in December here. I am in the same situation, I purchased Hyatt separately but bought DCL transfers during booking.

I'm curious what stage will we get to see this particular ground transfer Pick-up location details? I don't have that (yet), is that because my cruise's online check-in is still pending approval?

That’s what I thought on the morning of 8/6 because there were so many people there, but the line moved quickly and we were on the first bus. It really was easy and quick.

We left our bags in our room and let them take them. It was nerve wracking but I’m not sure it would be easy to take your own. You don’t go to the luggage drop area I don’t think from the bus. There were several Disney people working in the lobby on 8/6, just a lot of travelers. It was very organized and moved quickly despite being VERY long lines. You check in at the lobby, which is kind of above airport security. You take an elevator down to catch the bus at ground level.
