Staying ALK Concierge-What to request?

We have up-graded to Concierge. This is a surprise to my two Ds's.(The Whole Trip!) My oldest has begged to go to WDW and stay at the AKL in a Savanna Room. When I talked to the CL at the AKL, I booked the sunrise safari and made requests for the room. I asked for non-smoking 5th floor savanna room, Zebra Trail, and bunkbeds. Should I have requested anything else? My sons will really LOVE the savanna room. What are the best savanna rooms for CL? I hated to be too greedy (LOL)! So, I didn't request anything else.

We were there in Aug. of 03, we stayed concierge level and had room 5225, a savannah view. I also requested bunk beds for ds and dd . We got the 2 queen size beds instead, they checked for a bunk bed room but was told this room was a better view of the savannah. Very nice room.

Lots of things to do for the kids, ours really enjoyed the resort.
Make sure you check out the animals by the pool also.

Enjoy the AKL it is so beautiful, if you are on the 5th floor you can get to the concierge lounge by stairs. This was convenient for us and faster, we didn't have to cross the bridge for the elevator.

We stayed on the 5th floor (Concierge) and had bunkbeds. Don't remember the number, though. But they are available.

Let me start by saying that what is "best" is subjective. We have stayed AKL Concierge twice and both times have had rooms on the Zebra trail overlooking the Arusha Savanna. Both rooms were great.

In my opinion the Arusha Savanna is "best" so any room overlooking that would be great.

We love the AKL and truely enjoy our Concierge stays. If all continues to go well we should be back at the AKL Concierge for our third stay in Jan 2005.
