Stayin off sight

If the weather holds out I was thinking of planning a quick weekend trip next weekend, we've never stayed off sight before and was wondering if anyone has ever stayed at the Grosvenor. We would arrive around 8:00pm on fri. and spend sat. at the parks then be leaving sun. around noon. I was thinking by staying at the Grosvenor this would put us closer to DTD and not waste alot of time since our time will be so precious.

Hi, I've never stayed there, but maybe you could post this on the Orlando resorts board, I bet you'd get more responses there.

I stayed there over 10 years ago so my input is probably off since it was so long ago. There were a ton of South American Tour groups at the hotel and it was very loud. We got lots of phone calls in the middle of night from the kids dialing wrong room numbers. Our Tv wasn't working properly and a repairman entered our room without knocking first. Decided after that trip to only stay on actual Disney property for better bus and transporation service. Wouldn't stay there again unless I was desperate for a Disney fix and couldn't get a room elsewhere.

We stayed there in 2001. We got a great rate thru Entertainment. It is close to DTD ( you can walk there). Our room was one of the last that needed rehabbed but over all the hotel was decent. Our room was large, clean, and had a fridge in it. The people were nice, pool was fine. I would say if you can get a discount on the room go for it. Regular rates are about $160 night I think and that is too much for this hotel. You could stay on site for that. I know someone got it on Priceline for $35...and that would be great.

My mom and I stayed there in 1996. We had a wing room, which at the time was clean, but needed refurbishment. The pool area was nice and the distance to DD is great! Since your only going to be there for 2 nights, I'd say go for it!
