We didn't use points for this we just payed cash. It was very run down. Burn marks on tables, stains on the carpet, knobs missing off closets, the corner of the coffee table was broken off. We haven't stayed at a DVC property yet. We will in May. But I have read some pretty scary room problems here and after seeing this Timeshare this weekend I'm getting really scared. Is it the philosophy that when you own a timeshare you can trash it and then the maintence you pay should fix it? Who's fault is it when a unit gets damaged? Is it the owners fault or the property for not using maintence fees to repair it? Now, I'm not hoping for the worst when I arrive, in fact I hope to god to have a wonderful villa and a wonderful time, but if it's a wreck I will be yelling! I pay over $1,200 a year in dues and for that I expect to find a room in good condition with minimal wear. Am I wrong to feel this way?
