I just got a pin code this morning that says

Stay! Play! Dine! When you purchase this 4 night/5 day WDW vacation package that includes accommodations at select Disney Resort hotels, the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan and Theme Park tickets, you can stay, play and dine your Disney days away!
Select value resorts are $557 per adult. For stays most nights 7/4/11-7/31/11
That's a savings of 20%!
Add a Junior (10-17) for $254 more!
Ask about other dates, lengths of stay and accommodations when you call!

And there is a 15 digit PIN code at the bottom.
I haven't seen this offer referred to recently or am I missing the discussion? I don't think this is free dining is it?
Anyone know anything about this offer - is it a good deal? I plan to call later this morning but I'm excited to get something finally.

I would not think that it is free dining?! It works out to $1600+ for 4 nights for 2 adults 2 jrs.

Darn, I got all excited thinking it was the Kids Stay/Play/Dine deal. Not quite!

Ok...I called and got the details - the email wasn't very clear.

It IS free dining.

For Values and Moderates: free QS dining
For Deluxe: Free TS dining

I can pay some "upcharge" if I stayed at a Value or Moderate to change the plan from QS to TS - which I suppose is the difference in cost between the two plans.

As a disclaimer: when I called they never asked me for my PIN number. The PIN came to my husband - and when I called they asked MY name and MY email and said I had free dining (which I didn't have a week ago when I called). So it is possible we got two different offers. Or is their system good enough to have linked his email and mine to the same address.

And I don't know why the email didn't say FREE DINING - if it is (his email).

First thing I noticed was it is good for fourth of July which unless I am wrong right now there are no discounts for July?

it looks to me after doing the calculations for 4 nites at value preferred room with 4 day tix + QSDP came $1405 -20% = $1124 or $562pp (2Adults)

so it seems to be 20% the package

I would check to see if the pin # is good for only the July dates or if it is good for other dates as well
My DH rec'd a pin for 20% (room only) for 12/1-12/22 but when I called I found out it was good from 10/18 to December so yours might be good for other dates as well.

The email says it is good from 7/4 to a date near the end of July. The email also says I could ask about other dates but I'm interested in July so I didn't ask.

When I priced AKL standard view and a 7 day base ticket (6 nights hotel) for 2A, 1J, 1C it gave me the same price online as I was quoted by the person on the phone for the same package BUT including the table service dining. (Something like $3150 which does not include insurance).

I suppose it is possible I have two different PIN's - one for me and one for my husband. I haven't gotten an email or postcard that said "free dining" on it though.

I just haven't seen anyone mention the "Stay, Play, Dine" email yet - perhaps it is a different PIN offer they are sending out. I tried using the online web page someone posted awhile back to enter the PIN code and price out packages and it wouldn't work for me.

I work in Marketing and this seems to be a typical "test" situation. They are sending out the same offer, but using different descriptions. Instead of free dining, which many folks say is not so "free" because of paying rack rate, they call it 20% off the package. Same net cost, sounds better to those who thing FD is a rip-off.

It will be interesting to see how the year goes on, how many times they send out the same offer, described differently. To make everyone happy, they may make your offer the standard. 20% off a package sounds AWESOME! Unless you do what you did and actually ask about it, then you'll find out the actual details.

I bet the price is cheaper because you have gotten out of the summer and the regular rates are lower.

See, this is the pin I want!lol It's right in my scheduled days already, but getting this pin would make me do the happy dance. Which means I definitely won't, but it'd still be wonderful!

Oh god I hope this is the case with the PIN I received the other day. I've pretty much been told in the thread I made that this PIN is 10% or even less on usually rates of hotels.

Free Dining would be lovely though!!

I called back this morning to ask about adding another room with my PIN cause my sister may go and she told me it expired yesterday - !!

So I think I did have a free dining PIN but never got an email or postcard and when I called 2 weeks ago to ask if I had one they told me I did not.

So - I think the one mailed to my husband is something different cause it doesn't expire until the end of April!

I just wanted to update.

The email does say other dates available but I didn't ask - cause apparently they never took his code into consideration when booking the room
