Stay/Play/Dine Question

So does anyone think the s/p/d offer that has been sent out in PIN's will go public? Also what if my ds 9 wanted to get the adult ddp? Everyone would already be paying child prices so I guess we would just tell them or what??

There is a decent chance that some of the PIN dates will go public, but way too soon to know anything concrete. As for the 9 year old, you will have to bump the child's age up to 10 on the account if you want to get the adult plan. We did that for my daughter last year and it was no problem.

Ok, thanks! Crossing my fingers for a Disney Visa or public discount!!!

The S/P/D general public offer will probably be bookable about Oct 8th/9th.
After the pin booking deadline it should go to the Disney Visa offer for it then it will open up as a GP offer.

Do you have to stay the exact dates of the P/S/D offer (example 1/12 - 1/16) or is it like the free dining offer...as long as you arrive during that time frame you can extend out for 14 days?

For my crew we will be arriving on Jan. 15 and leaving on the Jan. 19.

Thanks!

If I book in August, can I apply the discount if/when it comes out in October?
I'd be booking directly with Disney.

This deal sounds too good to be true! :scared:
I'm not getting my hopes but but dang! I would be saving a good chunk of change only having to pay $20 for the QS plan.

:wizard: Come on Disney!

No, by making a reservation now in hopes of that securing a future discount will not work. When you call to "apply" the discount, you will be essentially making a new reservation from the pool of discounted rooms that Disney has allotted for that particular promo. The person that calls in October with no previous reservation has just as good of a chance getting the promo vs. the person who made a reservation 3 months ago.

By the way, here is the cost of the dining plans under the s/p/d deal:

QS = $14.32 per person/per night
TS =$17.16 per person/per night

It is for length of stay like free dining.

So, I know it is early, but I want to be ready, just in case the S/P/D promo is released with the fall FD promo on August 1st.
For our POR AB stay, I'm trying to decide between dates in Nov and the first week in February, and a lot will depend on whether I can get the FD.
IF I end up going with my back-up Jan31-Feb9 plan, I want to know what my savings would be for my family of 5 (2A's, kids 7/6/5) IF they offer the S/P/D discount. Can anyone tell me how to calculate this potential savings? I honestly don't know how much adult versus kid prices are for DP and tickets so kinda hard to do.
I know it seems silly to calculate something that may or may not even be offered but if I am on the phone with a CM on Aug 29th and need to make a quick decision, I want to have all info possible. :thumbsup2

You can find the ticket prices directly on the Walt Disney World website here. You can add how many you'll need, how many days and any extras you want to add on.

For my trip, if S/P/D is rereleased, I would only have to pay $287.55 (w/tax) for a 5 day MYW base ticket, compared to $307.79 (adult price). A cool $20 savings per ticket :thumbsup2

As far as dining goes:
QS for kids $15.75/ per night
TS for kids is $20/ per night

The only thing I'm not sure of is whether Disney will limit which DP you can get at kids prices depending on your hotel; Similar to the rules for Free dining.

Does anyone know?
Thanks!

Yes and no. You get the DP at child price that corresponds to your tier, like free dining. You can then upgrade. For upgrading you'd pay the difference in the two adult prices.

Does anyone know if AoA was excluded from the promotion this past January?
Assuming that the January discount for Disney Visa cardholders is similar to this http://disneyrewards.com/offers/wdwroommay13
Does the 15% off AoA only apply to the suites?
Or does AoA LM rooms qualify for the 20% off?

Or am I out of luck and AoA LM doesn't get any kind of discount?

The LM rooms were excluded. The suites were included. LM rooms sell out regularly, so there is no reason for Disney to include them. Some have gotten a small AAA discount on the LM rooms before.

I just read the super fine print. :sad:
I really wanted to book there because my little sister LOVES to draw and loves to learn how to draw.
I can get a 10% off discount with AAA for Pop but I'm not sure about AoA LM rooms.

So if I price out 2 adult/3 child 9-day tickets vs 5 child 9-day tickets, there is only a $38 difference total. :( Not much savings there.
Thanks for the kids dining prices. Where can I find daily dining plans rates for adults, or do you happen to know that by any chance as well?

For some reason Disney doesn't like to post them. I found them here

Also, that $38 is a better discount than you'd find elsewhere. The most I've seen is a $5-$6 difference at UT.

Thanks for that link! That will be $80/night savings for us, for 9 nights...that is $720!
Yes, $38 is a good savings on the tickets, it is just is not enough to give me a reason to book during the S/P/D time...the dining plan cost however, is.
::yes::::yes::::yes::

Just to be clear because I have the same question as OP. if the offer ends say March 6. I check in March 1-March 15. Do I get the package dining discount for the complete 14 days - or just until that March 6 date? :confused3
