If we stay at PPH, can we use the pools at DLH? Reserve a cabana there? How much are the cabanas?

The only way you can use the DLH pool is if you rent a cabana. I am not sure about the pricing.

You can reserve a cabana at DLH. I believe it is $150 for 4 hours. Otherwise you cannot use another resort pool

Ah! Good to know! I'd been looking for info but couldn't find it. Apparently I was looking in the wrong place!

I know, it's not always easy to find info on the DLR website. They don't even mention if they have refrigerators in the rooms. I had to call the hotel and ask. It is a bummer they don't allow PPH guests to rent the cabanas. What about a split stay and do just one night at DLH, then you could use the pool on the day you check in AND the day you check out!

I personally have never done it, but there are many people who have said they've rented at either at the DLH or GCH while staying at PPH. It's worth a call in any case.

We are already splitting between off site and on. I just booked it. 3 nights off and 2 nights at DLH. Tough to see those numbers when I can do my whole stay for 1/3 of the cost if I just stay off site :( but, family of 7, one of which is an adult priced child and one who will not quite be 3...best we can do and I'm not waiting longer to get back to DL!

Sorry, but they make it pretty clear on their website that only guests staying at DLH or GCH can reserve cabanas:
https://disneyland.disney.go.com/recreation/cabanas/

Guests staying at a select Disneyland Resort hotel are invited to reserve a poolside cabana. These hotels include:
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
Disneyland Hotel

I wonder if that is new? We just did this same thing while staying at PPH last (2014) August. And even in summer, they weren't all rented. I would call and ask.

I *think* if you are staying at the PPH, you can rent a cabana, just can't book it far in advance.

My cousin was at PPH and we were at GCH and we separately booked cabanas next to each other at DLH and there wasn't an issue. I would call and book it. They do go pretty quickly so call as soon as you decide. We like to do the 2 pm-6:30 rental (the times change with the season I believe) and I think it's $120. It's only $50 more to do the whole day if you choose.

This is really good to know that it IS possible. They must not want to advertise it publicly though.

OP, please let us all know if you decide to do this and how far in advance they allowed you to book the cabana.

When we did it over Labor day, the prices were $185 half day (930am-130p or 2-6p), $285 full day (10-6).

ETA: I stand corrected. Even though it says the above on the website, others have personal experiences that have allowed them to do it!

Is it possible that this means that there are only cabanas located at the two hotels, but that guests from all three may book them?

I have a cabana booked at DLH for tomorrow :goofy:(I am staying at DLH) and the cost is $125+ tax. The prices change seasonally.
