Will DVC guarantee me a specified stateroom when I book with DVC points or it is just a category/floor guarantee?

I'm getting "A LITTLE" possessive about the stateroom we've been having!

Thanks!
Rae

When we booked our cruise for May we were given a stateroom number.

HI Eva!
Thanks for your prompt reply! I think I worded my previous question awkwardly.

Did you request THAT particular stateroom or was it assigned to you when you made your request by the Reservation Clerk?

Like I said, I'm getting quite possessive of that particular room - wonder if I could sell my house and just live in that room on the ship?!!!!

You can request a specific stateroom. If it's available, I'm sure that they would get it for you. You can also ask to be waitlisted if it's not.

When I was in the process of booking the member cruise, I didn't want the first stateroom that they offered. The CM rechecked, and was able to give me what I wanted.

Good luck!

Thanks! I certainly appreciate knowing that and I guess you know what I mean!!!!!

I wish I knew we could ask for a change in rooms if we didn't like the assigned one. I made our reservations back in June for our cruise on May 22nd and was assigned 6058. When I went to the disney site I could see that it was right next to an elevator. I have feeling we are not going to like the amound of traffic or noise we will be getting.

TerryS - I just returned from a Disney Cruise on the Wonder and were in room 6616 right next to the Aft elevators and didn't hear a speck of noise from them. You'll actually enjoy the convience from being right outside the elevators, it really is nice to just walk outside your stateroom and get on the elevator, or walk right up the stairs. There won't be any noise associated with being next to the elevator!!!

Thank you Lori! Thank makes me feel much, much better!

My favorite room is very near the elevators and right across from the baggage unloading/loading area on Deck 5 - but we don't have a noise problem with late night people talking or laughing loudly as they walk by, kids running past but hey, it's THEIR vacation too so what the heck!! A little give and take here is all that counts!

You will probably come to find that you really like the room and son you'll be making it "MY" room in all your bookings and future thoughts. Doesn't take much!!!

We requested (if available) the same exact rooms we had last year and we were able to get. I will really feel like home next July.:)

Terry, if that's a cat 6 that sleeps 4, it seems like they are all close to the elevators! That's what we need for our 2004 trip & there wasn't a big selection of cabins (we also wanted NON-connecting). We wanted the cabin we'd had before, but it was only for 3 :( It almost had me rethinking this baby that's on the way :)
