Our family will be cruising on June 5, 2004 and we will be staying in stateroom 7520. I had read somewhere that you feel a lot more movement if you stay on the upper decks toward the front. We have never cruised before and although, I don't think I would get sick and I am a little nervous. If anyone has ever stayed in this location before I would greatly appreciate any tips you may have.

Thanks,
Misty

Misty -

Don't worry. We were in stateroom 7507 which is farther forward than what you will be. We had no problems; it was very smooth and I wouldn't hesitate to stay in that part of the ship again.

We were in 7020 - exact cabin but on the other side of the ship. You will LOVE this spot! Very quiet and close to the stairs. It is not an adjoining room and that is also terrific. Bottom line, I think if you are bothered by motion, you will be most anywhere on the boat - amount of motion vary SO little compared to the fact that there IS motion - do you know what I mean? It's like when it is very hot - a few degrees either way is hardly helpful. My suggestion is to read lots of tips to deal with motion sickness, prepare some things to deal - and then plan on a great time!

Bottom line, this is a great spot!

One tip I can share - when the ship is docked and you are returning onto the ship - pay close attention to whether the forward gangway is open ...the aft gangway was often jammed (since it was often closer to the port) and when I looked - the forward was open with no line - better yet - it was closer to the room whether stairs or elevator.

Enjoy!
