Starting Strattera and WDW trip

We are starting our DS on Strattera(sp?), 10mg, he's 4 (almost 5) and was diagnosed at 3 with ADHD, we did not want to start him on anything, but after another of getting trouble at school, we need to do something. My question is since it takes 3-4 weeks to get into his system, should we start it before or after our trip, we leave in 2 days for WDW. This will give him 15 days before school starts again(they are on winter break). Just wondering if anyone has advice on this, we just really don't know what to do. I think I want to start him on it so it can get in his system, but I'm afraid of what it might do at the same time. Thanks so much for any info! This is all new for us!

Sorry, I just saw this, what did you decide to do? Has it kicked in yet? We started our son, now 13, around that age on Strattera and it worked out really well for us. We only took him off it a couple of years ago because he needed to start another medication and it would have a negative reaction with the Strattera.
