Starting School Poll

I am curious about when towns across the country start school. So to anticipate the crowd level next week i am wondering:

When do kids in your area start school

My younger dd starts this Tues, and older dd starts Wed. I can't wait! lol!

Our area goes back the day after labor day. Preschools start later. My dd starts preschool on September 9th!

Our kids go back September 3rd. I'm actually going to miss them! Normally I'm dying for them to go back.

we start the Wednesday BEFORE Labor day. Been here 6 years and still can't get used to it. When we lived in Upstate NY and VA, it was always the Wed or Thur AFTER Labor Day!

Kids up here start the day after Labor Day. So some schools go back between the 2nd and the 4th.

We live in Phx, and out here it seems like they just start earlier and earlier every year! (probably my imagination) My son started school the 2nd week of August.

We are in Southeast Texas and most of the schools even close to us start tomorrow!

We started back August 6th. It gets earlier every year. I am a teacher and I started back July 30th. I am anticipating when the kids start back in July.

My 3 kids go back Weds 9/3-- it's always the Weds after Labor Day.

My husband starts tomorrow and I start Tuesday-- both schools have a few days of Freshman Orientation before Labor Day, then the rest of the school comes in right after the holiday.

we also went back in July (17th) we get out Sept 20th or so for our first cycle break (3 weeks)

Youre WAYYY late for our area. Kids started August 1. Friday, August 29 is the end of the first grading period. Thats the halfway mark to fall break.

All of Michigan public schools now start after Labor Day--most Sept 2.
