Starting JM Body Revolution tomorrow

Hi All!

Wow! Can't believe I haven't posted in a few days. Super busy week for some reason.

I didn't excercise yesterday. Ran errands all night and got in so late. I think I will try to double up today. And, I must get outside and start some weeding but I think it is cold out. Still, 1 hour will make a difference!

Minnie--good luck with cardio tennis. Sounds hard!

Buzz-thats great that you like the food. It makes the plan so much easier if you like what your eating.

Stitch--hope your having a great week!

Have a great day!

Gretta

all I have to say is......:crazy2:

Hi all... Sorry I was MIA last week. Had some family drama and wasn't feeling well. Starting week 6 again tomorrow. Have my first dress fitting Thursday!

Hi all!

Good to see you stitch!

Did #4 today. A couple of the moves are tough but getting easier each time!

Food has been good the last couple of days. Yeah!

Hope everyone had a great Sunday!

It's cool to see the progress when things get easier, isn't it? Woo Hoo on the food!

We had a great weekend! Lot's of family time without a lot of running around. I can't believe the kids only have 3 weeks left of school! Summer is going to be soooo much fun!

I am starting week 3 today. Workout 3 this am and then a lunch time walk and talk with a bud!

Happy Monday all!

I have to say that I LOVE this program! 30 minutes a day is so doable! I love that I actually feel like I've gotten a good workout in in such a short period of time. It's also great to switch CD's so often. It really keep things interesting.

Have a great day all! Off to do workout #4!

Hello,
I'm curious about this program so I'm happy to find this thread... :)

I've done 30 day shred and right now on week 3 of Ripped in 30, how do you gals think about the 90day program compared to those 2?

I don't know if I want to spend $120 on this program if there's not much difference. Considering I probably won't do the diet portion of this program (i'm doing my own diet).

Thanks so much for your help!
:)

Well I only did the 30 day shred and not Ripped in 30 so I can't comment about that one.

I personally love the 90 day program. Mostly because you continue to change workouts so it doesn't get old. I like that the cardio is separate from the strength and toning. I do feel like I have gotten a good workout from each 30 minute workout.

As fare as the workouts go, I don't think that the earlier discs are as challenging as the 30 day shred. But then again, it's a 90 day program and she is building a base and easing you into the program. I am in pretty good shape and do find that I get a good workout though. I usually add weights and or reps (don't rest in between sets). It's easy to modify the exercises to make them more challenging. The cardio definitely gets me breathing hard and sweating!

So, can I recommend it? Definitely! Is it worth the $? Hmmm... for me, yes. I can see myself continuing to use this program for a very long time. I did get burnt out of the repetition of the 30 day shred. I know that Stitch is further along than me and doesn't use the food guide, so maybe she has a little more insight.

Good luck with your decision and feel free to join us at any time!:goodvibes

#5 last night and #6 tonight. Feeling good!

LOVE that you are feeling good! Have a happy day!

Thanks so much Sunshineminnie... :)
I really appreciate you taking time answering my question. I do like her style of coaching and since I'm really short on available time nowadays 20-30min is all I can get in.
I'm thinking I might just try it out. But there aren't many reviews out there since it's so new. So I really appreciate your input.

Hi ladies!

I just bought the DVDs on Wednesday and am anxiously awaiting them in the mail.

I am looking to lose about 90lbs (EEK! how did THAT happen?!). I started C25k two weeks ago and signed up for a lot of races to keep me motivated, but I need to tone too so that's why I bought it.

I don't think I will do the food plan as I have been doing WW.

I'm anxious to see everyone's progress :)

I think if you like her style and only have 30 minutes, you will be pretty happy! Good luck!

Got the DVDs on Friday. Yesterday I ran in the AM, and did workout 1 in the PM. Today I am just going to do workout 2 before I go to bed. I do like her style. I tried P90X briefly a few months ago, and I much prefer Jillian's style.

Hopefully I can get to do workout 2 tonight. I am SORE. Must.... work.... out

How is everyone doing? Any great results? I am looking forward to posting some awesome before and after pictures! heh

How exciting! I am glad that you like Jillian's style. I find her very easy to work out with!

I am doing pretty good. We are in the CRAZY time of the year with kiddos activities but am doing a good job maintaining. Can't ask for more right now!

Good luck with everything!

Thanks! Maintaining is awesome!

I did not work out yesterday as I ran on sunday and could barely move. Hope to get back on the train tonight!

I'm hoping one of you who have the DVDs can help me out before I purchase this set. I need to tone up more. Mostly I run and do the 30 day shred videos of and on but I like structure so a 90 day program with a plan sounds great to me. My question though, before I buy these, is whether the cardio you do has to be her cardio workouts or if she says something like, "cardio workout X or X minutes of running at x level of perceived exertion" or whatever. Or even if she doesn't specifically say you can substitute cardio workouts, has anyone done so and felt like it was ok to deviate that way from the program?

TIA! Hopefully I will be joining you JM revolutionaries!

Hey there!

She doesn't specifically say what the subsitution would be.

I don't do the cardio workouts very often because I play racket ball, tennis and volleyball and get a great cardio with them. I figure that if I get my heart pumping for 30 min plus, I am okay.

The really great thing is that if I don't have anything going on, I can easily pop in the cardio workout and have a convenient 30 minutes of cardio at home. I am always breathing hard and sweating by the end of her workouts. So for me, it's the best of both worlds.

I don't feel that I have lost anything by not specifically doing her cardio. I do however try not to miss the toning.

Good luck and let us know what you decide!
