There's nothing wrong with being an informed consumer - if discounts are out there, why not use them? I personally look for bargains anywhere that I can get them. I would love to stay at the deluxe resorts, but I am not going to pay rack rate as I don't enjoy the amenities enough when I'm there and it seems like a moderate would suffice for what you have to pay at rack rate. The AP wait goes on..... let's all be nice

Looks like someone needs to start another "waiting for AP rates" thread...this one seems to have veered into a complaint session. It would be nice to just get the information as to whether there is any news on AP rates without the endless commentary and insults. But I guess this is the internet and that's more than we can hope for.....

As far as I am concerned it does not matter how many trips anyone has taken to WDW. This comes down to reserving what you can afford or are willing to pay, NOT WHAT YOU WANT TO PAY OR HAVE PAID IN THE PAST. If you are willing to stay offsite, so be it. I also do not like paying rack rate but I am willing to do so and I am not complaining about it.

Lets get real, if you were soooooo unhappy with the prices why not try a different Disney Hotel that has a lower rate. It all comes down to people who think they are entitled to a lower rate ( For a million different reasons).

I'll be at WDW, hope to see you all there...

This is my last post on this thread. I looked back over the thread and what really got me upset was Tonypad saying these post are "crazy". Why would a person say that, unless they are looking for an argument.

Then this Dr. Tomorrow character, quotes magicmouse2 and me, trying to stir things up.

This seems to be the pattern of these two, on others post I have seen, if I recall correctly. Maybe what I saw was on the debate board, which would be appropiate, but not on the resorts board. I'm sorry I fell into their trap. Over the years, I have mainly lurked on the DIS and at times answered questions from others, when I knew the answer. I will go back to my old ways and not reply to their taunts. I don't hide on the internet and hurl insults.

I will ignore their confrontational post, and lets help each other on the room only discounts.

I'm waiting for AP rates too, for December. I'm double worried because 1) AP rates have been far and few between this year; and 2) we are staying at Pop Century opening week. Does anyone remember discounts being offered at a resort when it first opened?
If I don't get an AP, that's fine, I'm not going anywhere. I'd still rather pay my half of $79 per night to stay at Disney!

There are always people looking for an arguement, those are the posts I just ignore, and I suggest everyone do the same, let them write what they want, no one has to read it. They are the ones wasting their time. They probably don't even have an AP in the first place.

The one thing I have always enjoyed about the disboards is the pleasant communications between the individuals. We come here to talk about discounts and to help each other save money. Unfortunately, some people want to put us down and say we are looking for something for free. No; just the best deal and we like to vent amongst our "friends". Stay off these boards if you are going to put us down.
