We just found out we're going to WDW in June. My DD, 9 years old, is thrilled with the idea of trading pins. I think it's a great way for her to meet people and pass the time in line. But, I'm hoping someone will have a suggestion for a way to get some less expensive pins to start with - so we can begin the trading process without a lot of expensive pins that she won't want to give up! Any ideas?

Hi, swanmom, and welcome. :)

One place to find inexpensive traders would be cheappins.com.

Another place is eBay. With a bit of searching, you might be able to find an auction with a lot of pins at a pretty cheap per pin price.

If you're driving down, there are some Disney outlet stores on the way. One is just off I-95 near St. Augustine south of Jacksonville, and there is another in Orlando. I'm sure one of the locals in the area can give you detailed directions.

Thanks so much, Obi-Wan (love your DIS name!) I've already gone to Cheappins and found a really good selection at prices much less than waiting til we get down to WDW. Really appreciate it!

Another suggestion, I bought my DD(8) a vest for our next trip. The landyard really hurt her neck and didn't hold as many as she wanted. The front to panels of the vest are solid and the back is a disney print. I bought it from a crafter at a flea market. If you want her e-mail let me know.

Also, my next trip I am heading for the Belz outlet. I was told you can pick up cheap pins there.

Good Luck,
Sandy
