I am a little nervous about the time we are picking to go, but, we have always wanted to go during Christmas so we are doing it. Bringing in the New Year of 2010 at Disney. Sounds like fun to me. Anyone agree or am I totally clueless??

Sounds like a great plan to me. I'm sure you'll have a magical time.

I will be there with ya. We will arrive the day after Christmas and will ring in the New Year there as well. Always wanted to see it at Christmas time. I know it is going to be packed. I am taking my Mom. My DH, God bless him, is staying behing to take care of my furbabies and my Mom's. So we will have a great time. This will be her first time going and it will be my 5th. I always go around the end of March beginning of April or end of April beginning of May so this will be different for me. Can't wait.

I must read up on all the info for that time of year now. Maybe we can help each other, lol!

Have a good time and maybe see you there!:woohoo: :cheer2:  :cool1:

WE can help each other..... I think lots of help makes it better. Wonderful hubby. My furbabies are teens now so they are getting this for CHristmas next year. I have always wanted to take my mom also but she is older ( sshhhhh) don't tell her i said that. I dont' think she can walk that much and I think the scooter thing with it that busy would be miserable...??? Do you happen to know how i can get my old ticker off??

Sorry, can’t help you with the ticker. I don’t even know how to put on one to begin with, lol. My

Mom turned 60 in Sept so I want to take her before she can’t do all the walking anymore. Although I do know we will hit that point in the day where her giddy up and go has went, hehe. I informed her of all the walking so will be prepared for that. Maybe as we find some helpful info we can post it to this thread.
We will be staying at Pop Century.

One thing I am stuck on is how to pack. Not really sure how to dress this time of year. From what I read it can go either way. So I guess I will pack an even amount of shorts and pants, heavy shirts and short sleeve shirts. I was always able to get away with one pair of pants a sweatshirt and the rest shorts, tanks and tshirts.

My bunch is very hot natured so I am thinking short sleeves or long sleeved thin shirts with light jackets. I think with all the running around they will be warmed up unless it is really really cold ( which it could be ). They are really jean kids too so that is probably what we will do for pants.
Enjoy your mom, mine is 71 and a year out from chemo for breast cancer. SHe is doing great but tires easily. So did i understand it will be just you and your mom? Hubby will keep kids at home or will they be in DW with you?

Just me and my Mom. DH will be at home with my furbabies, the only kids I have are the 4 legged kind.
I have been at DW with kids though, my niece went with the one time then two years later she went with again when I took my nephew, it was nice because they kept each other busy!

Hope everything goes well for your Mom. I know how rough chemo can be on a person.
