Start date for new AK nighttime show?

I do not think anything definitive has been made public. I think Disney themselves are not sure of an exact date at this point.

From what I saw during my recent trip, they have quite a ways to go.:)

I didn't realize the "scope" of this thing until I saw where they are installing "bleachers" all around the Discovery River(think Fantasmic!).

It's going to be something-I also learned there will be 3 "shows" on weekends and 2 "shows" during the week.:)

Are there any rough estimates? As in end of 2015? Sometime in 2016? 2022?

have seen 2017 for Avatar land, nothing more specific. Nothing at all that refers only to the water show.

I read on another blog that after some recent testing of seating views, some changes will be made that may increase the rollout date.

So even if there are previous dates, these may be inaccurate after these recent tests.

Disney hasn't been very definitive other than "Spring 2016" (which, in theme park speak,?can really mean anytime before the end of June). The date I've month floated around is April, but like WEDWDW indicated, construction on the seating area is going slower than expected, so that could get pushed back to May. My understanding is that most of the show elements themselves are near completion, so I suppose soft openings could occur before then should the seating area construction pick up pace. They also need to run trial shows to allow the animals to get used to the shows as they'll apparently be noise bleed in some of the animal areas.

And yeah, this show is going to be incredible. I've heard it described as World of Color meets Fantasmic!, which sounds massive. And Disney is expecting this to be big. Like WED said, two to three shows per night will be the average, and they're considering using the Discovery Island trails as a holding area for the next show during the current one.

I got a noise bleed at Animal Kingdom once.

I had to hold my head back and rest.

What?

Oh.
