Starbucks in the parks!!! ...soon

Wow! I'm actually glad to hear it. I love that they are going to co-brand and keep with the theme of the park rather than make it Starbucks looking. I don't think Starbucks will lose out on any business not having their branding plastered big and everywhere. Sounds like a win-win for both companies - and for guests!

i can't stand starbucks, although i suppose it's better than the regular swill.

the best coffee i've found in the parks is the Lavazza sold in Epcot, at an outdoor cart in Italy.

Have you tried the "blonde" roast yet? It is fairly new, but I'm not sure it has made it to your neck of the woods.

Starbucks is not my favorite, but I think this is a good partnership. It's way past time that Disney puts some decent coffee in the parks. With the wild popularity of coffee and speciality drinks, it was just sad that it was so hard to find something decent at Disney.

Thank the lord! <Skies open up - and song plays out - Halleluah Chorus> Starbucks isn't my favorite either, but I'll take it over Nescafe anyday. I am starting to like the Starbucks Blond roast. It's not very strong.

I'd MUCH rather it be Dunkin' Donuts coffee, but this is highly preferable to Nescafe.

While I'm delighted at the news (I exclusively drink Starbucks at home and at work), I don't read the announcement as saying that Starbucks coffee will be replacing the Nescrape' currently being served.

I don't mean to pour cold coffee on the celebration, but the Disney blog post mentions that there will be "six planned Starbucks locations" in both Disneyland/CA and WDW. So, while I'm still happy that Starbucks will be available, the announcement only says that there will be one Starbucks location per theme park.

But I can still dream. And you can bet i looked to make sure the date of the story wasn't April 1.

I noticed this too, but I am hoping once Starbucks gets it's foot in the turnstile (so to speak) eventually Nescrape will be phased out. Even if that doesn't happen though, the prospect of a good cup of coffee while actually in the parks, particularly MK, is still happy dance worthy. :cool1:

Although I don't often crave a cup when it's 85-90 degrees, I am very happy with this announcement, and look forward to enjoying it on our next trip!

The article and the disney blog both say only one location in each park. I'm sure the Nescrapé will still be there, but at least there will be a coffee option most are familiar with from their hometowns, and not the coffee colored water they've been calling coffee.

BIG fan of iced coffee here! Starbucks iced coffee is really very good, some places just pour their hot coffee over ice, but Starbucks iced coffee is already cold coffee poured over ice (so it doesn't just become watery coffee) and it's perfect when it's 90 degrees. I always order mine with extra ice.

Why not? Shades of Green has been serving Starbucks for many years, now (and while the logos are not "in your face", there are signs at the coffee kiosk which say something to the effect of "proudly brewing Starbucks..."

starbucks didn't succeed in my neck of the woods.
We have a zillion million different cafes here of a zillion million different brands of top notch specialty coffee, but starbucks didn't survive even a year. Starbucks coffee is terrible in comparison to italian coffee and they didn't offer real food in the starbucks coffee houses.
All cafes here offer real food in addition to coffee.
No food? No chance! :)

How many of you can envision a Starbucks Fastpass or needing to make an ADR to get your cup of Joe?

I am much more excited about this now that they have the Blonde roast, which is quite good.
