Star Wars Weekend Tips 2012

Darth vader, chewbacca and fab 4

Thanks just planning our stradegy! With the Fab 4, your video showed only Mickey, does it continue on to see the rest of the Fab 4 or do they rotate?

Also looks like the characters with the longest lines are Chewie, Darth Vader, Darth Maul and the fab 4....does that shound right? My DDs are hoping to see as many characters as possible!!

Maul's line wasn't too bad. Chewie, Darth, and the Fab 4 were ridiculous. We ended up waiting for Boba Fett (DHs fav) for about 20 minutes. Not too bad. While in line, we saw Tusken Raiders, Storm Troopers, Jawas, Zam Wessell, Aurra Sing, and a few others interacting with the crowd. They were stalking people, fighting kids with light sabers, signing autograph books, taking pictures, etc, so we were never bored in line!

Here's our photo pass pics from it. Boba grabbed me by my tank top and took me "prisoner". My husbands reaction as akin to that of a kid meeting Mickey for the first time, as you can see.

Funny you say that...I am not much of a star wars fan  but just reading everything and watching how excited my DDs are is really getting me into the spirit!!

OT of planning for sww, but is Celebration VI at all similar to SWW? feel free to pm me, going to first celebration this year. I started a thread a while ago, but I still feel very unprepared.

Thanks for posting the video :goodvibes

I had read that Luke, Leah, C3PO and R2D2 are in the merchandise tent. Is it possible to get pictures with all 4 or is it just one of them at a time? If so how ofter do they rotate?

Very frustrating. I would place this line above the fab four in terms of the most annoying. The CM's last year wouldn't say who was coming out next, and wouldn't allow us to wait for the character we wanted. They rotated around every 20 min. If you were lucky you might be the family who'd get the incoming and outgoing characters together. I found this line to be the most chaotic as opposed to the fab 4 line.

It is held in an air conditioned tent and I was comfortable.

I have a question for fellow Star Wars Vinylmation fans. How did the vinylmation signing event go? Can I buy the vinyls before going to the event, and have them signed, or do i have to buy them at the event? I'm going to SWW this friday and was going to pick up 1 of each of the Disney character Star Wars vinylmations but I just saw that their will be a signing on saturday and I'm wondering if I will need to wait to purchase them.

(also) does anyone know if I can bring other vinyls to be signed...I would love Maria to sign my 9" Winnie the Pooh :goodvibes

thanks,
Megan

Hi All! This thread has been so helpful! My fam will be at Disney for 3rd and 4th SWWs. I'm trying to decide exactly how much time to spend there!

We will get in to Orlando late Friday night and we're staying off-site. I'm debating whether we should go to SeaWorld or just head on over to SWW :lmao:

Thankfully, my kiddos will not care about autographs of stars. We want to do Jedi Training. I saw the question asked earlier, but didn't see a response. Is there anyway to know when it will be Darth Maul? My kids LOVE him.

Our key activities will be Jedi Training, character pictures, parade, merchandise, Hoopla (might just do by Idol screen...). What am I missing!?

I hope everyone has a great time. My kids are quickly turning in to Star Wars Fanatics!!:darth:

Can anyone there this weekend give some insight what the lines are like for Vadar, Maal and the other popular characters after 5:30 or so, trying to decide if we should add an hour after another park on a SWW weekend to popover. I guess the other way to ask the question is roughly when do the lines start to get smaller for SW characters ?

Thnx

Thanks that's what I was afraid of. Oh well it's helps to know ahead of time what to expect.
