Star Wars Weekend Tips 2012

I know!! Yuck! I was watching Bay News 9, they said 80% chance of rain, but an Orlando station said 60%. Either way, looks like it's going to get wet at some point. Saturday looks wet too, only 30% chance of rain come Sunday. I am still hopeful the rain will hold out and rain over night.

If anyone needs local weather, go to The Weather Channel or WFTV 9. They are the most accurate forecasts out there.

WFTV was the station I was watching! They said 60% rain today with heavy rain possible, 40% tomorrow and 30% Sunday. Accuweather on my phone says the rain should be between 1 and 2pm, 4-5pm, 6-8pm, and 10-11pm.

We aren't going to get to DHS until around 6, so I don't like that 6-8pm, especially with Hoopla being scheduled for 8pm. The last time there was a threat of bad weather, they didn't broadcast Hoopla from Idol. So I'm going to assume that will be the case tonight and claim a spot where we can see the stage from a distance.

Hoping we can get to see Vader tonight. My son still has a ton of characters left to see, 15 characters left. Not because they weren't there, but because he couldn't tolerate the heat to stand in line. He has seen Luke Skywalker so many times since he is in the air conditioning!! Perhaps the chance of rain will keep it overcast enough that we can be outside longer.

If you have an iPhone ( I think they just announced that it is on android systems as well), download the free app called MyRadar. You can bring it up to get a very accurate idea of where the rain is and where it is head. You can even zoom in right down to your exact location to see if there are any storms close by.

Right now it looks like the majority of of them are around Ocala and moving slightly South-Southeast.

Hopefully it breaks/clears up and the rain does not put too much of a damper on today’s event.

After seeing Chewy we got in line and saw Anikan and boy is he cute. We went over to Darts Maul and got in line for luke but just and we were about to go for a picture he took a break. At first we were disappointed till we saw R2D2 and C3PO together. We were thrilled and they spent some time with DD and I it was great.

I've always thought Anakin was cuter than Luke, but maybe because I like that scar on his face, or just the whole bad boy image...

So, for those who are there and aren't attempting celebrity autographs, just stop by the celebrity tents and/or the event info desk and pick up free black and white copies of the celebrities. They're great fun souvenirs of SWW. Ask for a bag to keep them in and keep them dry!

We got Chewie's and the Ewok's autograph this evening in the rain. It was raining lightly.

the star wars 2012 donald as darth maul pin--we are OUT.
Out of every exclusive pin except DVC, Annual pass, darth maul, and that guy with the dark cloak over his head that i never know the name of.

Most shirts are 30% off starting today. The annual pass shirt that had darth maul on the front and on the back said star wars weekends 2012 are 30% off and are moved from behind the register to on the floor and you no longer have to be a passholder to buy it.

Mugs and cups are 30% off that say the weekend 2012..

Also, if you go to the collectible table, don't take the stuff from the table. It is a display and if you take it we have to open a new one and replace it.. so, (if you want something new and hasn't been touched by all guests) just tell a cast member at the table what you want and they will grab it from the bins behind you. The pins are wrapped in plastic for you and everything else is boxed!
