Star Wars weekend pros?

For those who know all the ends and outs of star wars weekends. I have 2 questions for you.

1- Can you buy some of the exclusive merchandise on NON SWW days..like on Monday-Thursday or is it Fri, Sat and Sun only.

2-If we choose to brave a Sunday on SWW and only want to see characters like Chip/Dale as ewoks...Mickey/Minnie etc and shop...but wont get there til about 1pm is it useless to try at that point.

I think I know these answers BUT I am not 100%.

I'm not a pro, but we did go last year.

1. If I recall, I think this depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for mosre of the exclusive stuff that's found in the Darth Maul, I think the Maul is only open during SWW. However many of the regular shops carry things like SWW pins & various paraphernalia like the figures, t-shirts, etc. Especially the store at the end of Star Tours.

2. Chip & Dale can be seen for the majority of the day, but like the other characters, they rotate out every 30-45 mins or so. This is to give the characters a break from the heat. Usually they have other characters come in to their spot so the queue doesn't get backed up, but I believe they had another "set" swap out with them when we went so you still saw Chip & Dale. Other Disney SW characters like Mickey, Goofy, etc. are at specific times of the day, but they were until about 4-5 I believe in various rotations.

1- nope souvenirs of Star Wars Weekend is only available Friday - Sundays Usually located in shop to itself.
2 - You will be able to see the characters and have pictures took, just be prepared to stand in lines, long lines.

only been to 6 over the past 9 years so not a pro.

The trouble with the mickey and friends is that they rotatate faster than the line. So if it is Minnie for example when you are in the back it will not be when you get up there. takes timing to get all four. C and d a li5tle easier. Being after 1 won't impact this. Will be hot. Hopefully they move mickey et al. To a shadier place but imho they want them where casual guests can see for atmosphere as they walk by. Expect 15 minute sets and 1/2 hour line.

I know it looks long but the first post has a lot of info and I'll keep updating it as we get more information.

1.- Not the exclusive SWW merchandise, only on the weekends
2.- You can always get in line but be aware that it's terrible hot and humid and some of the lines are in direct sunlight all day. The merchandise tent stays open until the park closes, so it will stay open until 10pm
