Do the characters (like Boba Fett, Darth Vader, etc.) sign autographs?? I know the celebrities do, but just wondering if all the characters sign too??? :) Thanks. My 7 year old is going to FREAK. He doesn't know we're going..... :rotfl2:   :rotfl:

we were told beforehand that some characters had 'hand issues' and couldn't sign but we didn't encounter anyone that wasn't able to.......although, boba fett was cranky and wouldn't sign until the child said 'please'. my 7 year old freaked when we told him we were going.....about 36 hours before our flight :)

:cool1: As previous posters said, yes most of them do!

Your son is going to have so much FUN!!! My sons are 6 and 8 and we were there last weekend. :thumbsup2

Even some of the characters with fake hands and long fingers were able to sign - Greedo and the Sith Lord both come to mind. It was actually funny to see the "Bad Guys" signing autographs for the little kids!! :teeth:

If your son has a light saber, you might bring it. We left all of ours at home and then my sons wanted to buy news ones. I did notice that the characters had more fun interacting with my sons after they had their light sabers. Plus we have cute action shots with the characters - instead of standing up straight poses.

Also, if you get a chance to go to MGM before the "weekend", do the Jedi Training then. My sons got to do it on Wednesday. During the actual SWW, the Jedi Training was packed and it was very difficult to get close to the stage to get chosen, watch or take pictures. My sons really wanted to watch it during SWW, but they were not able to see anything because of the crowd.

We were there on Sunday, and many characters signed autographs. Darth Vader had a LONG line when I was there, as I stood for 45 minutes to get his autograph and photo! But that was right before Darth Vader left for the night (he was listed as greeting until 6:00). Characters we saw included Luke Skywalker, Leia, Chewbacca, An Ewok, Green guy with big black bug eyes, Boba Fett (is he greenish?), I think another Fett (he was blueish), Anakin, Mace Window, The Emperor and two red-cloaked guards, Padme with the white face, some good guy with redish-black-whitish horn things on his head, a lady with a gun and a mask over her face, and others, too! Sorry I am not up on my Star Wars characters, as I am not sure who some of them were!! But most seemed to be signing autographs! :teeth:

I took DS (then 8) to SWW last year and every character we saw signed autographs. FYI - other than Darth Vader, the Imperial side of MGM had shorter lines. We got there just as Boba Fett's line was closing down. They told the people behind us that Jango Fett would be right out. We asked if we could get right back in line and we did. We saw Boba and Jango within 10 minutes of each other, which DS loves.

Taking youngest DS (5 1/2) on June 10th. I can't wait to see him with Lightsaber in hand come up to Darth Vader and tell him "I'm WUKE Skywalker". It will be precious.

Hey HugsForEeyore - I'm gonna attempt to name your characters so that it will make it easier for you to put them on your website! (Because I expect to see them there VERY soon - hint, hint - lol)

Greedo - Green guy with big black bug eyes

Boba Fett (is he greenish?) - Yes Boba Fett has the Greenish helmet

I think another Fett (he was blueish) - Jango Fett has the Blue line and more silvery costume

Empereror's Royal Guard - two red-cloaked guards

Queen Padme Amidalya with the white face

Some good guy with redish-black-whitish horn things on his head - a little stumped at this one - If it was a lady, then it was Shaak Ti (Here's a pic:
movie_sm.jpg
(Otherwise, email or pm me the pic & I'll get U the name)

Zam Weesel = a lady with a gun and a mask over her face
----------------

I wish we were going this year - but we will miss it by 3 weeks! At least I can live vicariously thru the DISBoards!!!

THANKS!!! I was hoping someone knew who these people were! I didn't realize Shaak Ti was a gal!! I guess I am showing my age, as I am a classic sort of Star Wars fan (New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi) so lots of the "new" characters from the newer movies are a mystery to me! :scratchin

I see your hint!! I been trying to decide what to do with Star Wars characters for my website, since they aren't true Disney characters, yet they do meet at Disney parks! So I think I will somehow get a Star Wars character page in there (that's going to be fun to program into my database!!), as I been asked in the past about the Star Wars characters, so I guess it's time to give them some attention finally! :teeth:

I'm an original trilogy guy as well - but I did like Ep IV

For the OP, the Star Wars Characters are great with autographs! One of our best memories from a couple years ago involve DS (8 at the time) getting Darth Maul's autograph - then turning around and "Raspberrying" him! Darth Maul chased (Walked very quickly) after DS for about 20 feet or so - it was hilarious! He then stopped at DD (1.5 at the time) and she didn't know quite what to think of him!
