Star Wars Week-end parade

We will be playing tour guides for DBF's DS and his family in May. We will be there for 9 days but his DS and family only 3 1/2 days. I have so much to fit in and then I realized they will be arriving during the 1st Star Wars Week-ends! (His DS is a Star Wars fan!) So, I "tweaked" the schedule so we will be at Hollywood Studios Fri morning to mainly see the parade. After the parade we will head over to MK and stay thru Extra magic evening hours. (Planning all FP+ for MK)

What time does the Star Wars Week-end parade start and how long does it last? just trying to get a handle on an approximate arrival at MK.

Motorcade starts at 11AM, but you need to be holding a spot for 45+ minutes before, as the parade route is short.
Run time is 10 minutes, or so.

Actually last year it started at 11:30am. This years schedule hasn't been released yet

The parade last for about 15 minutes with a 10 minute welcome show on the stage afterwards. For a shady spot along the left side of Hollywood Blvd you have to grab spots at least 1 hour and a half before the parade because the route is so short. If you don't mind baking in the sun, then 45 minutes before should be fine, but it's very unpleasant
