i just booked the Star Wars guided tour but I am having second thoughts. We go to WDW every year so my kids, while huge Star Wars fans, have done JTA and have been on star tours, etc. outside of the dessert party, the tour seems to be sort of a fp to everything Star Wars AND a very long day. I am considering changing to just the dessert party (especially since children are only $39). Opinions?

I have the same thoughts as you. It seems 8 hours in HS, even with star wars stuff, is stretching it. We do all we want several times and we get done by noon most times. I just don't know what it would include to take up 8 long hours?

I agree it seems like a long time. I think the break even with this is if you are going to do JTA or not. If you are, then you don't have to be there at park opening to sign the kids up. I have this tour book for my coming trip more b/c I enjoy not having to fight for space for different events.

Wow, they must have added a lot to HS since I've been there last. I couldn't imagine that many hours at HS. Of course if you have money to burn and are going at a really busy time it may be worth it.

I just checked out the site: reserved seating at two shows and the fireworks, I guess you get to watch a bunch of movie clips they call Path of the Jedi, dinner at Backlot, Jedi training for kids, character meet and greet, and the dessert party. Seems like most of these things are included in the regular ticket but you would be spacing it out over a full day. At least today the tour doesn't even start until 2 pm - omg that is a long day.

I was thinking about doing this as well but I am put off with a 7 hour day, we never stay that long at HWS. I think what they are offering for the cost is a fair price, but I don't know if I want to hang that long much less my DS11. I would love to hear from someone that has attended.

Just an FYI, they have the Path of the Jedi show at Disneyland, and its only about 15-18 minutes. It's a very cool movie clip compilation, but it won't take up very much time.
