Hi All,

With the final trailer now out I thought it made sense to have a thread to focus the discussion about the movie.

Here we can talk about what we saw in the trailer / break it down, share out experiences in buying tickets for the movie, and then after the movie is out we can change this thread to be one that contains SPOILER discussion. Prior to the actual release of the movie let's try to avoid any spoiler talk, but can cover anything that has actually been released

C'mon ... they've got The Ghost right up front! Probably never happen, but I'd really love to see a quick live-action cameo with Hera Syndulla (and Jacen?) heading into battle

I can see Kennedy sitting with Abrams telling him the series is a space western and we have to have our cowboys riding out on horses scene before we end it.

I don't mind the orbaks (the horse creatures) - there obviously is a history of characters riding creatures in Star Wars. Though I think they will work much better in small doses not throughout the movie

The horses really took me by surprise.

The “horses” were already seen in previous imagery and involve one of the new characters for this film. That scene didn’t stand out for me so I don’t have a problem with it.

I also didn’t have a problem with whoever is in the hood. We are to assume it’s Palpatine but it could be someone else.

I would think at this point in the history of the series, there has to be quite a bit of misdirection in the trailer. Probably a decent amount of work to make a good trailer that doesn't provide too many spoilers.
There is a lot to accomplish in this movie.

Yeah this trailer didn’t tell us much about the movie. The trailer showed things we already knew really.
