Star Wars Nightastically Delicious! ~ Updated 10/24: Nov PTR Started...Link in Siggie

I can't believe the line for SM at nearly 2am was that long!

Thanks for continuing the TR! I'm going to head over to your new one shortly! :goodvibes

You look so comfy on the monorail! I love all your little naps. I've come close to falling asleep on TTA once with Andrew. He kept talking so it didn't happen. I wonder what they'd do if you were in a really deep sleep when it came to the end? Wake you up? Assume you were only riding for a nap and let you go around again? I'm betting they'd try to wake you, I guess. I wonder if they were watching you, too. :rotfl:

So where are all these Buzz cheats? I know I'm hitting them sometimes because I've maxed it out a couple of times. I'm just not sure how. DH claims that you're not really getting points for hitting anything, but that can't be true. He'll turn his around to face me and try to shoot us to prove it. It seems I'm only worth 100 points?? :rotfl:

Thank goodness for those Space Mountain FPs! I love that you were able to accomplish all this in one day!
The TTA is such a great place for a nap...comfy seat, nice breeze, dark tunnels, etc. But I can see how a talking Andrew could prevent it. I don't know what would happen if you fell deeply asleep. :confused3 Probably won't ever be an issue for me. I ride the bus to work, often napping, and have NEVER missed my stop. I have a talent for sleeping, I guess.

Wow, you've maxed Buzz out?! Someday I will, someday... You're worth 100 points, huh? :rotfl:

It was pretty crazy walking by such a long line of people in Space Mountain...thank goodness for Fast Passes!

WOW! The Hoopla was crazy! I saw the dance off on YouTube. It's pretty funny. I can't imagine dancing around as Darth Vader. He must be super hot!!

Ahhh what a nice nap on the monorail & and relaxing ride on the TTA :goodvibes.
Hoopla was pretty crazy. Very funny, though. I'm glad we stuck it out in that terrible crowd to enjoy the show!

I can't believe I napped on the monorail. Strikes me as kind-of gross and unsanitary now, but I was SOOOOOOOOO tired then!

Thanks for checking out the August TR! I have to think that the SM line was due to the shut-down earlier in the night. Other late nights, we've never seen it very long.

We woke up “refreshed” from our 4.5 hours of sleep. Got ready to head over to Epcot for the day, primarily because I love Test Track and wanted to get in a ride on this trip. What’s for breakfast? Leftovers:

We hopped on a bus and made it to Epcot about 15 minutes after park opening. First stop was The Land pavilion to check on Soarin’ Fast Passes. Unfortunately, they were already outside of our window (since we were leaving WDW this afternoon). Bummer, no Soarin’ this trip! :sad2: So, we hopped on Living with the Land instead. Gotta love Disney boat rides!

Next, we needed a refreshing drink, so we headed over to Club Cool:

My favorite one:

Yummy! :drinking1

While we were in Club Cool, the sky opened up outside. Downpour:

We thought this might be a good time to check out the Disney Rewards Visa photo shoot. Once we found the location in Innoventions, we asked a nearby CM how it worked. Turns out that it was not open until the afternoon! :sad1: Cross another thing off our list for this morning. Some day we’ll get in there for a character photo!

A tweet that Dug sent out shortly after:

Our whole point in coming to Epcot was Test Track, but we broke the weather, which broke the ride. Of course. Rain slowing down.

Once the rain had tapered off, Test Track got up and running again. We got into the Single Rider Line:

P1030366.jpg

It was busier than usual, probably backed up from the ride having been closed. But, we did get on and get a ride! I love that ride! :thumbsup2

We had a bit of time before we had to head out, so we figured we could squeeze in Spaceship Earth. Unfortunately, we were greeted by this :

P1030368.jpg

We didn’t have the time to spare for that line, so we had to head out. Not the most successful morning at Epcot. We were back on a bus to AKL around 11am so we could pack up and head to Sanaa for our lunch ADR.

A few parting photos of our lovely room:

We decided to take the Downtown Disney bus over to Kidani Village, since it was rainy out:

After a quick ride, we walked into beautiful Kidani and arrived at our final ADR destination:

Up next: Lunch at Sanaa! “Frank”-the giraffe who’s in love with a tree! And we have to go home! :sad1:

Boo to the rain and unsuccessful morning at Epcot! Can't wait to hear your review of Sanaa though!

Yikes on that Spaceship Earth line! Too bad that the morning didn't go so well, but I love all these tweets. :rotfl: I may have to avoid WDW when you guys are around for all the ride breaking! Glad you were able to get on Test Track though! :goodvibes

I'm anxious to see what you have to say about Sanna. We loooooved our lunch there and was probably my 2nd favorite meal of the trip!

It was a weird last morning. Between the rain and the not accomplishing much, it was very different than the rest of the trip had been. The day just might turn around at Sanaa, though! :rolleyes1

I have no idea why the SE line was so long, but yikes! Dug did have fun tweeting, though. :) I'll have to give you advanced notice (via PTRs yet to be started) of our WDW plans so that you can avoid during our ride-breaking sessions! :rotfl: Or, maybe, come to the parks if there are any rides you'd like to break down on! Yes, I'm so glad we got to ride TT too. I don't know why, maybe since I like driving, but I just love that ride!

Wow I can't believe the line for SE!! Crazy!!
I like the Fanta too :thumbsup2.
I don't think I've ever seen the SE line that long (of course, we try to stick to the off-seasons). I can't imagine waiting that long for it! Yummy Fanta! :thumbsup2 I wish we could buy some here!

Not to spoil anything, but I just might agree with you about that! ;)

Hopefully I can get this TR wrapped up in the next few days. We've got two trips coming up within the next two months (:woohoo:), so we really need to get the PTR(s) going on those. So excited! :yay:

When we arrived at Sanaa, I went over to use the restrooms. Dug said that I missed out on the day’s opening show. There was drumming and singing. Bummer I missed it. (Although I did just watch a youtube video of it right now, so I know what I missed).

We asked for a window seat and had no problem getting one, as the restaurant was not very crowded right as it opened. We both sat facing the savanna. Our first animal was already out there:

P1030383.jpg

Dug ordered an African beer to start:

P1030386.jpg

I got the Mango Lassi, which was a yummy mango smoothie.

More savanna activity:

P1030387.jpg

The ceiling and lights were pretty cool:

P1030389.jpg

There was a not-so-hidden Mickey on our table:

P1030390.jpg

We had a great waitress and she really helped us with recommendations and such. We started with the Potato and Pea Samosas and the Tomato Soup with Paneer Cheese from the Appetizers menu, as well as the Indian Style Bread Service. We love Naan:

P1030391.jpg

The waitress helped us pick out our three accompaniments:

P1030392.jpg

I think this was the Cucumber Raita, Mango Chutney, and Roasted Red Bell Pepper Hummus (and the Tamarind Chutney came with the Samosas).

Everything was delicious! We enjoyed sharing all the food while watching the activity on the savanna. Dug took a bunch of pictures:

We soon were entertained by a giraffe. We nicknamed him “Frank” (no reason). I have a silly habit of “narrating” what animals are thinking. (At home, our dog frequently finds her inner-most thoughts “narrated.” Dug finds it amusing, as it so often seems to convey exactly what she’s thinking. Perhaps I have an unusual animal-intuition talent?) So, we began narrating for Frank. Because it was becoming clear that Frank had taken a romantic interest in a particular palm tree:

P1030419.jpg

“Oh, you’re such a beautiful "giraffe"! What’s that? Whisper into my ear….”

P1030420.jpg

“Let’s snuggle!”

In the midst of our giggling silliness, our main course came. We had decided to share the Tandoori Chicken (wrapped in Naan Bread with Minted Greens, Tomato, Onion, and Cucumber-Yogurt Raita). We’d heard that this was good and it was quite yummy:

P1030421.jpg

We continued to narrate for Frank the Giraffe, who had nuzzled and hugged the tree with his neck numerous times. Now he was just standing with it, for quite a long time, with the occasional nuzzles:

P1030425.jpg

“I’m just hanging out here with my girlfriend. I think I’m going to ask her to marry me.”

And, with that, Frank set off to find her a suitable engagement ring. Once he was gone, another giraffe made his move:

P1030429.jpg

“I think the coast is clear! Frank is gone, baby, and I’d like to see what all the fuss is about.”

The other giraffe proceeded to try to seduce this tree. We were being very silly this meal, can you tell? It was fun!

After our wonderful meal (with absolutely awesome savanna viewing), we had a bit of spare time to explore Kidani before taking off. We found this big guy:

P1030434.jpg

And we managed a self-portrait with a giraffe in the background:

P1030438.jpg

A couple parting shots of Kidani:

Soon, we were on board the Magical Express. We stopped by Pop Century on our way out:

P1030446.jpg

P1030454.jpg

I don’t remember much of anything from the journey home, so I think it’s safe to say that we had an uneventful flight (thank goodness we didn’t break that “ride”) and made it home safe and sound. And tired. But, back to work the next day! That was a long week of trying to recover from the lack of sleep! But, we’d do it again in a heartbeat! SWW was a lot of fun, late nights in the MK were awesome, the food was delectable, and AKL was amazing!

And, with that, I believe that we’ve wrapped up this trip! Which is good, because we’ll be back in WDW in less than 4 weeks! In a studio at the Beach Club Villas for Food and Wine! I can’t wait! We’ll be getting that PTR started soon, I’ll let you know!

Thanks for reading! And may the force be with you. Always.

OOOOOH Sanaa looks so yummy!!!!

And I can back up your 2am SM line! It was out the door at 2am the night we went too! NUTS!!!!

Great giraffe pics btw!

Sanaa DOES look yummy! :thumbsup2 Thanks for your review.

Thanks for your TR! I can't believe you are going again so soon! Can't wait to read all about it! Make sure you post a link over here so we can follow you over. :goodvibes

Love Frank the Giraffe!! :rotfl:

So sad your TR is over, but happy that there will be more in the future! I loved following along. You seem to have a lot of fun! I checked out those Buzz cheats and worked on it last week during MNSSHP. I had no plans to waste party time riding anything, but it was the first time back to MK since I saw them in your TR... With everything being almost walk on, I kept begging Andrew to ride "just one more time" with me. :lmao: I got up to 715500. :yay:

Can't wait to read about your next trip!

That's awesome that you did that well on Buzz. I'm still working on getting that high! Even with the cheats, I think my top score has been in the 400k's.

Frank the Giraffe was awesome lunchtime entertainment! He so loved that tree!
