Anyone have an idea of when they’ll open booking for February 2023?

From what I’ve been seeing missions occur more often for those who seek them out. If you’re more withdrawn the system seems to assume you prefer to be a more passive observer-type so it’s not going to try to keep pushing stuff at you.
For people taking different paths.. that’s more complicated. There are basically two “primary” tracks (Resistance and FO) and several “secondary” ones (like Smuggler.) Those on a secondary track still can choose to go along with one of the primaries. So your smuggler will likely be getting missions that intersect with either your Resistance or FO member but the Resistance and FO members are going to be sent different places.
Thanks! Now when you say the Resistance and FO members will be sent to different places, is that like, on the ship, or on Batuu, or both? And would those of us not on that path be able to tag along with them, and maybe hang back while they talk to contacts, or would that be frowned upon, and/or break immersion?
I know you weren't asking me but I'll chime in with my unsolicited opinion (sorry!). From my perspective things really weren't all that rigid and stories/situations just have a way of flowing/working themselves out throughout your journey. My kids chose different paths than us and we were sort of all over the place in terms of following it, changing storylines, being with them, etc. I'd have trouble thinking of anything that would be truly 'frowned upon,' at least in how we experienced the Starcruiser - other than unruly guest behaviour.
The total guest count is really interesting - it's small enough that unique/intimate/special moments happen, but large enough that individual situations can just absorb into the overall action. That's a strange way to describe things I guess, but it's how we felt. It all just really worked well without having to "think" too much about it.
I agree with this totally. In addition to two teens we had an 8 year old. He ended up getting pulled along with my husband and I as Resistance even though by the middle of day 2 he wasn’t scanning as much on his own.I know you weren't asking me but I'll chime in with my unsolicited opinion (sorry!). We will be going on our Halcyon cruise the beginning of May. What are some things you wish you would’ve known or would’ve done differently to maximise your experience on the Starcruiser? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.![]()
We did the captains mission, Sammy, and the tour directors missions and went to two of the “big meetings” that required an invite based on missions and choices…. We were def feeling out of place at first no missions so i finally just saw a character walked up and started talking… then started chasing the droid and other characters… you really have to insert yourself into the events or you will get left behindI'm curious about this "not completing all the missions" thing. Was your group a mix of smugglers, Resistance and First Order? Or, did each of you get multiple missions to complete regardless of affiliation?
From what I had read prior to today, I thought there was basically one "mission" everyone got to complete on Batuu. If there are multiple missions, or the possibility of multiple missions, I want to make sure we don't miss out on something.
Also, a broader question - do mission assignments sort of come organically, or is someone who is an extrovert and talks to people likely to get more missions, or different ones, than someone who keeps to themselves more?
Lastly - there are three of us travelling together. If each of us takes on a different role - smuggler, Resistance, First Order - will we end up separated, or will we still be able to hang out together as we complete missions? I'm thinking I will take the role of a smuggler, my fiancee will be a member of the Resistance (like another famous SW couple), and our friend will be undercover as a First Order sympathizer, though actually being loyal to the Resistance.

We just got our schedule and have lightsaber training at 430 on day two. If one of our party really wants to help with force sensitive missions, is this too late to connect with the Saja?
This has been asked a few times recently over on Reddit, and while a couple of people have brought empty holsters into the park the general advice is that it’s not allowed. When we stay in December, I plan on dressing as a smuggler, Han Solo but a little older and a little heavier lol. My question is can I wear the belt with holster? I know I cannot bring a blaster or anything resembling one but didn’t know if I can still wear the belt with holster. Thanks!
I kinda thought that so I am going to commit blasphemy and cut the holster off and install a D-ring so I can hang my Lightsaber Hilt from it. I'm sure that's allowed since it will be purchased at Savi's Workshop when we go in 3 weeks lol. By the way, I love the screen name!!!This has been asked a few times recently over on Reddit, and while a couple of people have brought empty holsters into the park the general advice is that it’s not allowed.
WDW’s Help page on costumes and park dress links to this Disney Parks Blog post referencing the Batuu dress code at Disneyland. The Parks Blog page specifically mentions that holsters are not allowed.
I don’t know if anyone has worn one on the Starcruiser, but since it’s not allowed in Batuu it might best to leave the holster at home.
You could replace it with a hip bag that hangs from a belt and straps to your thigh. There are a bunch of nice ones in leather and canvas over on Amazon and it kind of looks a bit like a holster.

I'm building my Lightsaber at Savi's in 3 weeks but staying at Galactic Star cruiser in December. I'm all about wearing the Hilt but I don't want to lug around the whole Lightsaber. I just went to Disney's site and the rules for costumes are pretty clear. It states nothing can be worn that can be mistaken for an actually weapon. No where does it say anything about a holster. I think I will chance it lol. I mean they can't throw me out into space, can they?Lightsabers are allowed! (that’s mentioned in the Parks Blog post)
Depending on when your trip is (edit: just saw you said 3 weeks!), maybe you can look for a belt that includes Han’s iconic belt buckle but omits the holster or has it as a removable piece, rather than cutting it? Just a suggestion, not sure what costume components you already have. But good luck with your costume, whatever you decide!
(And thank you!)
