Star wars characters

We are going to be at disney in August. My kids are really into Star Wars. Is there anywhere to meet Star Wars characters when it's not Star Wars weekends?!

I don't think there usually are any SW characters about. I did meet Queen Amidala and Zam Wesel on my last trip which was before Star Wars Weekends, but I think they were just in training and I don't know that they would be around in August (they were between TSMM and Backlot).

However, the re is Jedi Training Academy, where they can at least see DArth Vader and some Storm Troopers, and maybe Darth Maul too. Sign them up for that first thing if they want to do it.

Sorry, as the PP said, it doesn't look like the Star Wars characters (or Disney Characters in Star Wars attire) are out and about outside of Star Wars Weekends. I thought perhaps the Stormtroopers might be (they're regularly out at Disneyland), but they aren't listed on Kenny the Pirates website.

If you are there and are buying tickets to attend the villains unleashed event in August, they are reporting that they will have star wars villains there. And of course you can see Vader, etc as well as ride the Star Wars ride and take a pic on the land speeder, but otherwise, no, the characters are not around.

Jedi training for kids age 4-12 runs year-round. Other than that, the only time you can count on seeing SW characters out and about is on Star Wars Weekends.
