Star Wars characters?

WE're going to WDW in November with my extended family. My SIL keeps talking about a Star Wars character meet and greet she wants to attend. Does anyone know what/ where this? I thought maybe it was a special event one weekend a year but she seems to think it's a regular thing.

Anyone know about it?

MGM has Star Wars Weekends in June. There is also a "Jedi Training Academy" at MGM that is year round-maybe that is it? Darth Vader and several Storm Troopers are there. Some children from the crowd are chosen to "train" as Jedi.

There is a meet and greet thing during Star Wars weekends. That is only the weekends in June though. I think there is a link to info on it at the very top if the boards where the messages all are.

The jedi training academy is pretty cool for kids and is a permanent setup now, next to the Star Tours ride at HS.

My son is an 8 year old Star Wars Fanatic! Check out my TR below for pictures of him fighting Darth Vader at the Jedi Training Academy this past December.

Darth Vader and several Storm Troopers are there. Some children from the crowd are chosen to "train" as Jedi.

This is fun show to watch (I've only seen the DL version, not the WDW one yet), and for the kids that get picked an awesome experience. Our kids haven't experienced it yet, but we have some friends whose son was picked, and he was just beaming when telling us all about it.

According to allearsnet HERE you can see Chewbacca at Star Tours "occasionally", Darth Vader & storm troopers can be seen at Star Tours usually during Star Wars Weekends (June) however we have seen Darth there outside of the time period, along with some storm troopers. You can also see them at the Jedi Training Adademy regularly (but they don't stop for meet and greets there), and occasionaly at the DHS park entrance.
