Star Wars character meals!

Forgive me if this has already been answered but what happens to those that already have a reservation for dinner at H&V before this was announced?

My DH and I have had a dinner reservation at H&V for May 31st for months now. Does this mean we pay the increased price or cancel?

According to posts on the boards, previously existing dinner reservations for H&V are being converted to the new Star Wars character meal - at the higher price. You will still have a reservation, but if you don't want the Star Wars meal you will likely have to cancel. Posters are reporting that their reservations are being changed on MDX. I believe they are getting new reservation numbers too, with time and party size staying the same.

I am so excited! I was just able to get breakfast on May 4th for us. This should make my DS10 a little happier about having to eat with princesses. Thanks OP!

so glad they're doing this. I'm happy to see some non-princess character meals. I just called and booked both of the meals. I didn't read through the entire thread before posting but it says on the first page that they are one table service meal but I've seen other places online and was told by the cm when making our reservations that each are two ts credits.

seems to be plenty of availability, we had not problem booking exactly what we wanted

I contacted the Beach Club IPO about the Star Wars meals and the CM helped me get a breakfast reservation. He asked where I heard about it and all I told him I read about it on a forum. lol He said they were all still learning about it because they had just found out this morning, and he had no clue that it was being offered on the weekdays until I asked about it. He forwarded this email to me:

Star Wars Dine-In Galactic Breakfast! at Sci-Fi
Guests can start their day with the Star Wars Dine-In Galactic Breakfast at the Sci-Fi Dine-In-Dine Theater Restaurant. Inside, it's a long time ago at a drive-in far, far away, where out-of-this-world breakfast delicacies are accompanied by thrilling movie moments from the "Star Wars" films. Encounter Darth Vader, the Dark Lord of the Sith himself, along with a rogues gallery of infamous "Star Wars" characters, who appear to step right off the screen to join Guests as they dine.
Prix- Fixe Menu:
Guests will get a selection of pastries, choice of yogurt parfait or fruit cup, and choice of entree.

At Dinner, everyone's favorite Disney pals get dressed up for Jedi Mickey's Star Wars Dine at Hollywood and Vine. Mickey and the gang join Guests at their table for an intergalactic celebration of the saga, complete with " Star Wars" music, interactive moments, and a delectable dinner buffet.
May 4th -June 15th



Characters (subject to change) : Chip and Dale, Donald Duck, Goofy, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse

Adult: $59.63, Child: $35.14
Looks like both meals are 2 (two) DDP Entitlements
Booking starts today.

It's nothing we haven't heard before but it seems like all the information the CMs have been given.

I called the main line after 3pm, was on hold for about 20 minutes but got breakfast reservations for 9:30am on May 15th! Super excited!

We just booked the breakfast for May 12th at 10:45 am. Sounds like they still had a lot of times left that morning.

After waiting on hold for almost two hours (yes, really), I finally got through and had the CM tell me that I didn't know what I was talking about. I then read to her the flyer I saw and that's when she found it.

So excited to get to have booked breakfast on May 5! I would have loved to do dinner, but we leave on the 5th and have HDDR booked on the May 4.

Breakfast for 10 at 10:50 on June 3rd.

Dinner for 10 at 6:00 on June 4th.

Only took 40 minutes at 7 PM tonight, would have been 15 but I managed to get disconnected just as the CM came on line. Grrr...

It seems like there is good availability. I had my choice of time for Breakfast even with a party of 10. The same was true for Dinner. Choice of times for both regular and Fantasmic Package dining. For $4 more it seemed like a good deal to get the Fantasmic package, especially on an Extra Magic Hours night. Normally I would steer clear of an EMH in DHS, but you have to work this type of thing in where you can.

I too wonder how the pictures will turn out in Sci Fi, I've only been there 1 time, but it seemed pretty dark in there. Maybe the Emperor will show up and light it up a little. Emperor Stitch would be even better!

We account for 3 of the 10 in the party and it will be $385 just for us for the 2 meals (plus tip!). I've been telling myself this is probably our only Star Wars Weekend that we will get to, so we need to do it while we can. Hopefully the spread at H&V will look like Boma's the night we go there...

I am insanely jealous of all of you who are going. Sadly, WDW is off the calandar for this year, but my DS (15 months) would probably enjoy a SW character meal a lot more when he's a bit older.

They had better make this a permament addition.

Disney must have oped more reservations. I've been trying almost daily since mid-February for H&V Fantasmic! with no luck. Yippee!
