Hi all. We have huge Star Wars fans in our group this year, so we have an entire HS day de opted to just the SW stuff.

Question: how many time can we ride ST and get a different experience? Is it worth riding more than once or twice?

TIA!

A CM told me there are 54 versions of the tour. You could see a new scene or two in most of your rides. We have always tried to switch up the screens to get different experiences in one day.

There are apparently 54 different versions. The thing is that qty is a little misleading. The ride is divided up into 4 different clips, with each clip having a number of different options that may appear. This means that some clips may stay the same and some clips may change each time you ride. It's very random. You can ride over and over again and see nothing new, and then ride again and see a clip you've never seen before.

For instance: First Ride
Clip 1: scene A
Clip 2: scene C
Clip 3: scene B
Clip 4: scene A

Second Ride
Clip 1: scene A (remained same)
Clip 2: scene B (new)
Clip 3: scene C (new)
Clip 4: scene A (remained same)

Third Ride
Clip 1: scene B (new)
Clip 2: scene C (remained same as first time)
Clip 3: scene C (remained same as second time)
Clip 4: scene C (new)

This may depend on how they choose to include the new Rogue One adventure.

Last year, when the added Ep VII Jakku footage (and previously unused Vader footage), they intentionally ran it every "trip" for close 6+ months, significantly reducing the available combinations.

It seemed to us that the variety this summer was less than it was in summer 2015. We probably rode it at least 10 times each trip, maybe 15. Much less variety now, or maybe it was just random luck.

Here's what you could get:

2 possible openings: Darth Vader or Imperial probe droid
4 possible first destinations: Hoth, Tatooine, Kashyyk, or Jakku
4 possible hologram transmissions: Leia, Akbar, Yoda, BB8
3 possible final destinations: Death Star/Geonosis, Naboo, Coruscant

Those saying there are 54 possible combinations forget that the math needed to be redone late last year after a new first destination (Jakku) and new hologram transmission (BB8) were added to show scenes and characters from The Force Awakens.

The old math was 2x3x3x3= 54
The new math is 2x4x4x3= 96.

So now there are 96 possible combinations of ride experience. This, of course, doesn't mean that you need to ride 96 times to see every scene.

There are actually 4 possible final destination films. While there are only 3 different locations, there are 2 different versions of the Naboo scene.

Thanks. That means the math is 2x4x4x4=128 possible ride experiences.
