Just curious, if Space Mountain's maximum speed is 28 mph, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad's maximum speed is 25 mph, and and Splash Mountain's maximum speed is 40 mph, then what's Star Tours maximum speed?

Thanks,

Actually you enter light speed twice, which is about 670,616,629.4 miles per hour :thumbsup2 ;) :scared1:

Possibly a little faster. If you remember from "A New Hope" Han Solo said that the Millennium Falcon could make .5 past light speed..

Just so you know, speed isn't really an issue on Star Tours. It is however rather jerky. The simulator tips sideways, forward, etc and the movements were rather jerky.

oh and.......doesn't it feel to you like the other roller coasters are going faster than the actual speed. Thunder mountain seems like it goes faster than that to me. It's great fun and not too fast but you would think 25mph is slow.

Yeah, but on Star Tours you're not on the Falcon, just on an Endor shuttle.

Agreed. There is no way that the shuttle can outrun a souped up smuggler ship.
Wow, I am such a geek for answering that...aren't I?

You guys are too funny! And how many times have you rode Star Tours.:rotfl:
I love the pre-show area. Almost as much fun as the ride itself.

How many times? At least 3 or 4 in French. At least twice in Japanese, and I have no idea how many times in English. Once at WDW, and many times in CA.
And the preshow is magic. From the time you walk into the lobby, up the ramp, and watch the video. As a mega star wars fan...riding it for the first time in 87 was just so cool! It was the first time stood in a 90 minute line. And it was worth it!

Yeah, it is a great ride. It's nice that the last few times I went, the lines weren't long for it at all.
I had to slow my boys down to take in all the pre-show. I love the 3PO they have just as you walk into the loading area.

1) So THAT is the problem.
2) All this time, I thought it was just me who felt weird getting off of Star Tours.
3) I have always felt a tad off-kilter (no pun intended).
4) Here I thought the speed of light was 670,616,629.384395132 mph.
5) I'll make the adjustment on my next ride.
