What is your preference to use for door magnets? Staples glossy finish or Avery matte finish magnet sheets?

I voted the Avery matte. As a general rule, I'm not a fan of anything glossy - pictures, etc. Too many little fingerprints from little hands

I've used the Avery sheets for years for other things - I've used them in all types of printers with out problems. So part of it, too, is that I tend to stick with what I know works !!

I didn't vote because I just purchased the Staples glossy finish magnetic paper and I haven't tried the other. They did not have Avery in stock, so I decided to go ahead and try the glossy. I was afraid that it would be too shiney, but it really is not that bad. I did have trouble with it jamming in my printer at home, but I could get it to work here in the office. ;)

Matte is going to be best for Cruise Door magnets and fridge magnets
Also, it is going to depend greatly on your printer brand and ink- You have to have a quality printer and ink or none of the "paper" will bring good results...
That being said, the glossy may have someissues w/ ink smear- be careful that they are very very dry before packing, stacking, etc or you will be disappointed

I used the Avery magnets in an HP printer and loved how vibrant the magnets printed.

It looks like Avery is running way ahead of Staples. I found the Avery on Walmart's website for only $6.88 for 5 sheets. Even with shipping you can buy 2 packages for slightly more than 1 package costs at Staples.

I'm not going to vote since I've only used the Staples glossy magnet sheets (that's all they had when I went to buy magnet sheets). They worked wonderfully and looked awesome. I had no problems printing them out with my temperamental HP printer. I printed out my designs on regular paper first to see how they looked - I was slightly depressed because they looked so dull and the colors didn't look good. I decided to print out the designs on the magnet sheets anyways and WOW. They looked amazing. The colors really seemed to pop.

I didn't vote, because to me it doesn't matter - I don't print on them! I slide the magnet sheet into the back of a page protector, print my signs on regular paper, and slide a new one in in front of the magnet every day - One magnet sheet - seven signs! SO MUCH less expensive!

Even for small magnets, I tend to print on photo paper, cut them out, and use my xyron to glue them to the magnet sheet after I'm sure they're exactly the way I want them.

I plan on sending my pics to my handy dandy Fed Ex Office...they have quality paper (more matte than glossy for sure) they used for projects in the past...it's pretty thick paper and I plan on buying magnet strips and just putting 2 strips on the back...for all my magnets it should cost less than $10 and I won't have to put my printer out of ink...those black ears use sooo much ink!! :) I may laminate them or just put laminate paper on the back so as not to diminish the brightness of the colors but add durability so they won't tear...
