How do they work?

When I ordered the $12.99 batteries back in early Dec. I was told they would be sent to me automatically. But I haven't received anything.

They send out rewards once a month. So if you accumulate over $10 in Dec, they send you a check in January. At least that's how I read it. I have the batteries and some printer cartridge credits coming. Saw in today's ad the binders were 100% staple rewards.

In the middle of September I took in 8 ink cartridges. I did not get my rebate until early December. I called Staples Rewards and was told it took so long because of the timing of when they received the cartridges then actually credited my account. I was just happy to hear that there wasn't a problem and that my reward of $24 was on its way.

Long story short - it could take a while.

If you put the rebates in online you can keep track of your rebate process.
Staples is the best rebate company I have dealt with.

I just called them on this same issue today and they said there is a system glitch not showing the purchase under the special rewards header, but they could see my purchase on their system and these checks aren't going out until 3rd week of January. HTH!

When they had the "free with rebate" backpacks back in August, I didn't receive my rebate until late October, early November..they are very slow.

It is now the end of Feb. and I still haven't received anything. I am calling AGAIN to see what the heck is up. I also purchased some 3 ring binders that I haven't received anything for.

PS: Ok, finished. No idea how this happened because i have received rewards before, but apparently they no longer had an address for me in the system. So, I should get my rewards ($65 worth!) in the next 2 weeks.

I love Staples rewards. They do not send out rebates every month on the FAR stuff. The have reward cycles which I believe are about every 2 month. I just got my ink rewards and my FAR checks last week. They have excellent customer service and they will make it right if there was problem. I have even been able to use expired reward checks at the store.

I found an expired check for $7 and something. Can I just take it to the store and use it? I still have it.

I just got my batteries check a few days ago.. (want to say the 16th?) so it does take a while.

I have used expired checks on 3 different occasions, no problems. Check with your manager, I believe they just have to override the coupon.

I just got my battery rewards last week and they sent me an extra rewards for my trouble. I emailed them and was told they had a problem with their system. They said I'd get my binders reward in early March.

And when you get a Rewards statement with your Rewards check, read everything carefully. I received an offer (with a check from a previous period) stating that I could recycle up to 9 or 10 ink cartridges and get back $3 each in Rewards, but if I also bought a certain amount of ink on the same day I would get double Rewards, $6 each on the recycled cartridges. I was able to recycle 9 cartridges and buy ink on the same day, got back $54 in Rewards which I used to buy a case and 2 8GB memory cards for my new camera to take to Disney, at a cash cost for the camera accessories of $1.66!

Same here. Got it a few days before black Friday and used it then.
