BamaFan121s said:Yes, it is very irritating when people don't give up their seats to those who need it more. Also, I have no problem with standing, but I WILL not stand if it is so crowded that I am 1) actually in the doorway holding on to the rails attatched to the door, or 2) if I don't think I can hold on to something AND my 5 y.o. daughter so that we won't go flying if the brakes get slammed on. If either of these is the case, we'll be some of those annoying people holding up the line to wait on the next bus. Sorry ppl, we had a wreck on a WDW bus and I have no desire to have the same fate as those who were unfortunate enough to be standing on it.![]()

I'm really, truly not meaning to be rude. If I thought that holding my child and standing on the bus were unsafe (after realizing no one's giving up their seat for me), I'd shout out to the driver to wait and to please let me off the bus before it gets moving, and wait for the next one. If I really think it's that unsafe, then I am unwilling to depend on the kindness of strangers. My name isn't Blanche Dubois and I'm not on a streetcar, I'm on a bus.arielsleepingbeauty said:I couldn't understand why no one would offer their seat to me. It all comes down to personal choice. Would it be nice for someone to give up their seat? Of course. As a healthy 38 year old man at WDW last year, I never missed an opportunity to give up my seat when appropriate (I'm a city kid, been taking city buses since 7th grade). But that's my choice. I'm a nice normal guy. But you can't risk your safety and your child's safety on being on a bus with me, for me to give you my seat. Sad but true. So like I said, your safety and your child's safety is your own personal responsibility, and if you can't assure that safety, it's YOUR responsibility to act, which means getting off the bus if necessary.
I want to live in an ideal world. I set a great example for my 6 year old and 3 year old, and I want them to contribute to this being an ideal world. But standing on a bus when I think it unsafe to do so isn't a political statement, it's an irresponsible act.

If you go to Disney with the mind set that people should get up and offer you a seat on a bus, or that you should get towel animals, you are setting yourself up to be disappointed. Be happy when someone does stand up and offer you their seat. Don't stand there and glare when someone does not.
