Standard view vs island view

Is there any advantage to upgrade to an island view. I just snagged a standard view at the 7 month mark but its only 12 points total more for island view.

I mean I had an ocean view and used my balcony twice...so I assume it's up to you how much time you spend in the room and if you enjoy the scenery. To me I wanted to get up and get out ASAP to enjoy the resort so looking back now the view preference didn't really matter...although it was nice to open the curtains see the ocean

The first time we stayed in a Island View room, and this time we have booked a standard view room. I believe the main difference is Island view is just on a higher floor than the standard view rooms.

I stayed in both. I do like to sit on the balcony and enjoy my tea in the morning.
The SV was overlooking the parking garage. It was okay.
Our IV was in the long wing of the Ewa Tower, so we could actually see the ocean when we were on the balcony. It also overlooked the lawn where the Starlit Hui and movies were shown.
