I everyone. We are safe here in Alabama, but not so lucky all around us. I am home with Luke today who has the Flu. Hopefully the rest of us won't catch it. Hope everyone is well.

Okay friends.... tell me I am crazy.... I already have tickets for the parks for our April trip (Maggie and I have annual passes). then I upgrade 2 old tickets last time I was there for Daniel and Tim to 10 day park hoppers.... so we really only need 9 of those days the way our flights worked out.... anyway (ramble ramble)...... today they announced that on our arrival day there will be a Pirate and Princess Party.....we went to this last year and had a blast..... we won't be arriving at the hotel until about 4pm on April 11th.... should I get tickets...... I don't know what to do.... we could just use the tickets we have and go to another park.... we could just stay at the hotel and relax... or we could go and party with the pirates and pricesses..... I am so confused............... the kids said it didn't matter to them either way.... and my husband doesn't even like Disney so he is no help.... (he just goes becasue the rest of us LOVE IT) welll.... what do you think..... buy or not buy????????????

My vote is to stay at the hotel & relax or go to another park... I just always worry about arrival delays, etc, to plan anything major the first day. (that being said, we have the Fantasmic dinner for our arrival date, I believe )

Wendy - That's a hard one...the P&PP would be a fun thing to do on your first night but if you stayed and rested you would be ready to go the next morning. Let us know what you decide.

I have to tell you all what happened to me on the way to work this morning...it was about 8:40 and I was driving north on a 4 lane divided highway. The next thing I know a car that is headed south crosses the median and is coming straight toward me at a pretty high speed. Thankfully there was room for me to change lanes right in front of a van and I passed her like we were on a 2 lane road!!! Then she pulled into the next crossover and got back on the southbound lane. I was soooo scared...I was only a couple of minutes away from work so I just drove on in. I was still shaking when I got there. The Lord definitley had angels guarding me this morning!!!

Wendy, I think I would just rest. Since you have done it before and no one else is all gung ho about it, I would save the $$$ for something else, like a Wishes cruise or something you haven't done before.

We are staying at the Shades of Green... we have stayed there before and love it... the rooms are huge... the staff is wonderful... we had a pool side room reserved... and its only $121 per night... no tax...

Thank you too!! I don't know if she was asleep...people at my work said she was probably putting on her make-up or talking on her phone...I didn't notice either as we were passing each other...of course I was terrified at that moment!!

By the way 3 weeks from today we will be at WDW!!! We're planning to go to Epcot on our arrival day...no ADRs that night though.
