Stacking LL’s strategy question

Let’s say I’m going to MK in the morning with plans to hop to HS right at 2. Could I conceivably:

- get an LL for HS at 7am
- also get 2 paid LLs for HS
- get another at 11 (2 hours after HS opens)
- get another at 1…

…and then walk into HS at 2pm with FIVE LL rides for the afternoon?

Yes this is correct, as long as there is 2 paid LLs to be had.

Yes, assuming...
1) A 9am opening time for HS
2) Disney reinstates two ILL$ in each park

We did this exact strategy on every HS visit. Usually EPCOT in the morning and stacked HS rides. By 5:00 pm we had 7 rides booked -- this was when MMRR was an ILL$.

Granted, availability is always subject to change. Having done LL in November, December, January, and June, I have not rope dropped HS once and was able to get everything I wanted. We always park hop over there in the evening, and if there is one ride that you really can't get, just hop in line at park close. Easy cheesy.

Thanks! This seems by far the best way to use LL.

Note that the availability for LLs may be for earlier return times than you want, depending on crowd levels and when you plan to hop. I am not sure what will happen after August 7th, but over July 9-10 I found myself using a LL for an immediate return time in my “local” park while waiting for the return times to move later in the day at the park I was hopping to. It totally stunk having to swap back and forth between the two parks on G+ because I was worried I’d miss a time I wanted, but it ended up okay since between 2 hour intervals times move forward pretty slowly. You’ve certainly got the right idea, but just a heads up to be flexible.

Yes, that was the frustrating part of stacking for a MK evening visit last Tuesday! At 7:00 AM I bought our SDMT ILL$, but the LL times for all the rides we wanted were way too early in the day, so I kept checking every few minutes. Finally, shortly after 11 AM I was able to book JC for a desirable time. Then I set a reminder for a couple of minutes before my next booking opportunity so that I could review times for our other desired rides and figure out which LL to book at that time. It worked out great, though - we rode 8 rides (5 LLs, 1 ILL$ and 2 standby) and ate at Casey’s between 6 and 11 PM. Being allowed to book overlapping windows made a big difference too, of course.

I did find it difficult this last week to find times late enough in the day at HS for the late day stacking. But generally the late day stacking worked pretty well.

Depends, really - what does your Ukrainian friend suggest you do with your morning? 😉
