Well, i have subscribed to another thread, but now i have decided to write a journal.

I have epilepsy, and was put on meds that made me gain a ton of weight. I am 5'6", and Before this medication i weighed 135.(this has only been 3 years ago) My highest weight was 238::headache:
The doctors have put me on a new medicine, but it does not help you loose weight, nor does it make you gain weight....So loosing it will be up to me.

I had to find something that worked for ME....That was the hardest part. Now i think i found it, and for the past 3 weeks, i have lost 15 pounds (223). I am so excited.

I walk about 3 miles a day. Do situps to help the tummy/abs and tonight i might add jogging for about 10 minutes on the treadmill.

My goal is to get to 140. Still 83 pounds to go.
 
Good luck to you! I just started a journal too. I have around the same amount of weight to lose as you do. It's going to be a long journey, but I know we both can do it! If you need support, I am there for ya!:flower3::cheer2:

Sorry to just get back with you...I have been out of town. Just want to wish you well, also. I will subscribe to your thread. We can do this. I am in this for the long haul, and it will be lonnnngggg!!! I have now lost 20 pounds. It seems it is getting easier as the time goes by, and it really doesnt seem like it has been 4 weeks. I hope the next 4 weeks go just as well.

Walk 3 miles per day--everyday

Total weight lost: 20 pounds
 

well this weekend will be very interesting....

Tonight: going out with inlaws

Tomorrow night: going out with friends

Monday night: going out with DH for our 14th anniversary:love:

It will be a fun weekend, but not good for my diet :sick:


Todays total weight loss: 22 lbs
 
I didnt do so well this week:sad2: I did really good when going out to eat this weekend. By monday i had lost 2 pounds....But at my weigh in this am, I had lost only a total of 3 pounds. I seem to be "stuck" at this weight. It is so fustrating.

Starting weight: 238

Total weight loss this week: 3 pounds

Todays weight: 215

I am going to put a goal of 212 by next Thursday. I have got to get off of the 215 - 216 numbers. I am so down...I didnt cheat. I have been working my tail off, and only lost a total of 3 pounds this week.
 
Last week i was so frustrated. It seemed as though i couldnt get off of 215. I cant wait until i am under 200. :yay: I cant believe how much better i feel. I have so much more energy....

Total Loss this week: 4 pounds

Current weight: 211

Starting weight: 238

Only 71 pounds to go (or another way to look at it, is i am 1/3 of the way there!)
 
well, its another day, and i am upset....Thursday will be my weigh in date. I peaked this am, and i have only lost about 1.5 lbs since last thursday. The high temps here have been about 95-97 degrees :scared:, and after i walk i have to drink about a gallon of water; i believe the shortage of weight loss is water weight. It is so frustrating...

But on a happy note, i am going to make myself a short term weightloss goal. I would like to weigh 200 (or less;) )by July 1st.
 
Considering that a few days into the week i had only lost 1.5 pounds, this week ended pretty good. I lost a total this week of 3 more pounds.

I am still going to try to be 200 by July 1St.

I am getting excited. Two coworkers came to me yesterday, and said they could tell that i lost weight. It made my day! :goodvibes

I think i will be happy with whatever weight i loose this week. I have been sick with my epilepsy. The seizures started early Sunday morning, and i have had size effects since, (muscle cramps, very slow moving and thinking) I am ready to get back to being myself. It is my first day back at work and i am very blah:scared:

I did peak at the scale, and i have lost 2.5 pounds this week, and that is with no exercising.
 
Its Thursday:sad1: and my weekly weigh in. I weighed 206 this am. I knew it was not going to be good. I got NO exercise in Sun, Monday, and very little on tuesday, since i was sick. Add to that again, drinking tons of water, in this heat and humidity, i guess 2 pounds seems like a lot to loose. I dont think i am going to reach my goal of 200 by July 1St, but its ok.

I want this weight to continue falling off, but I dont need to eat less calories. I have limited myself to 1000 calories a day, (and alot of days i stay below that) This week was just hard. It is taking time for my body to get back to normal, and for me to get my physical and mental strengh back.

I hope to have better news next week.

We are going to the beach next weekend, I cant wait.

I am feeling so much better this week:thumbsup2 getting back into the swing of things. I have only lost 2 more pounds (I am down to 204), but now that i am feeling well again, i can work on the weight again.

We are leaving to go to the beach for the day, so hopefully being out there i can shed a few pounds....

I didnt reach one of my goals--to be 200 by july 1st, but i am close, so its ok... I really hope to loose at least 3 pounds by next week...

Tues at 2am, dh woke up with a pain in his stommach...After many tests, he has kidney stones. They are treating it with meds, and hoping he will pass them. If he does not pass them by monday, they will do the laser.

Tues night dd complained that her ear was hurting.... I went at midnight to buy swimmers ear, b/c we have been swimming alot. Well, this am she woke up with fever. :guilty: so i have a call into the doctor this am. Hoping and praying that he will just call in a script for her, since i have been to his office everyday this week. It is my first day at work this week.

I broke into the 100's. I am finally out of the 200's:cool1::banana::banana::yay::dance3::dance3:

It started out great!! I got under 200, but i have been extremely busy at work....I had to put in 15 hour days this week, so yesterday, i only walked about 2.5 miles, instead of the usual 3.5miles. I also ran out of my slim fast shakes. So when i ate my biscuit for breakfast, i did not eat lunch, so by the time supper came, I was starving!!!!:rolleyes1 Guess what i did?;)I went and bought me and dh a bucket of chicken, and ate! It was the first time that i truly "cheated". This morning i feel like a stuffed potato.:rotfl:

I was angry with myself after doing it...but now i see how blah i feel this am, so i am just going to do it again....BTW i will go pick up my shakes this afternoon!!!

I am still determined to get to 140, and i will.

Ok, here are my numbers:

Current weight 197

My goal for next week is 193. I really want to make this goal. Alot of times, looking at previous posts, i dont hit my goals. I make a goal that is too high. But after last night, I want this one. BAD!!!

More seizures....I am going to have to call my doctor, and get off of generic, and increase my dosage. I havent had this many seizures this often, since i was a teen. Again, I will just be happy with whatever weight i loose. Im just trying to get to feeling better.....
